Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Confused Orobashi

After adding the buff to himself, Sunan looked towards the southwest.

He could feel a powerful aura approaching from thousands of miles away.

"Orobashi... he looks so aggressive..."

(Actually, it was just to speed up the journey, without any hostility.)

Feeling this rapidly approaching breath, the corners of Varunon's mouth curled up slightly.

"As expected, you also want to fight with me, right?"

"Then... come on!"

Deep sea, endless waves!

Boom! ! !

Suddenly, a roar of thunder resounded through the sky.

The powerful divine power tore the sky and the sea apart.

In an instant, a huge wave a thousand meters high suddenly rose up!

However, this huge wave was just the beginning.

Behind it were countless enormous waves strong enough to destroy mountains!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Endless waves spread in all directions with world-shattering power.

Under Varunon's will, a massive tidal wave stretched for hundreds of miles, pouring toward the distance!

"Who is Poseidon fighting?"

Orobashi, who was heading toward Varunon, had a look of doubt in his eyes, but he did not stop.

Because judging from the situation, the being who might be fighting Poseidon was very close to his Pearl Palace.

Such a close distance... what if his territory was destroyed?

However, as the distance grew shorter, Orobashi suddenly realized something was wrong.

"Where is the demon god that fought with Poseidon?"

"And why is this wave coming toward me...?"

"Something is wrong..."

!!!

A bolt of thunder streaked across the sky, and Orobashi seemed to understand something at that moment.

"Poseidon is attacking me?"

"Is he starting a war of gods?"

"Is he ill?"

A flood of thoughts rushed through his mind, but because he had been running toward the source, he was now very close to the tide caused by Varunon.

As the malice overwhelmed him, Orobashi's eyes focused and divine light shone!

The power of the sea demon god activated and bloomed.

Orobashi attempted to forcibly take control of the endless tide.

However...

"How is this possible?"

Orobashi's snake eyes widened.

He found that his power as the god of the sea could not affect the tide in front of him at all.

"Your authority as a sea god is so much greater than mine?"

Although known as the Demon God of Snakes, Orobashi's authority as the God of the Sea was considerable.

Though not as pure a sea demon as Osial, he could still influence enemy magic with his power.

When fighting Osial, he had used his sea god power to interfere with Osial's magic while simultaneously using thunder power to attack.

He nearly turned Osial into a grilled octopus... squid.

To this day, Osial still harbored great resentment toward Orobashi.

Battles between demons were not only about strength differences, but also about divine reserves and life level gaps.

Though experience mattered, anyone who could become a demon god had fought for survival as an elemental creature.

Of course, there were exceptions.

For example, some elemental beings got lucky, gaining sudden power from Celestia and ascending with it.

They were like rats blessed by fate—truly rat kings.

Some divine beings didn't even need the fragments left by Celestia.

After defeating a demon god, they would not take the remaining power, but rather purify it and return it to the earth veins.

Examples include the Red King Akhmar and the Geo Archon Morax from the game's lore.

These gods of heaven, once victorious, no longer needed the devil's power.

"Do you think my title of Sea God is just a joke?"

Varunon's voice passed through the earth veins, across the hundred-mile waves, and reached Orobashi's ears.

Thunder Prison!

Boom!

With a thunderous roar, tens of thousands of thunderbolts fell from the sky.

Lightning poured like rain, instantly blasting apart the waves before Orobashi.

However, behind one wave were thousands more.

Orobashi was forced to continue summoning thunder to hold them back.

"Even if you're the Demon God of the Sea and your power surpasses mine, I can't believe my power has no effect at all!"

There was disbelief in Orobashi's voice.

"Heh..."

"That's naturally because..."

A bloody figure flashed before Orobashi.

"...I stacked all the buffs on myself!"

"Buff?"

Orobashi looked at the bloody Varunon in confusion, eyes wide with doubt.

He could tell his magic hadn't landed, but Varunon looked terribly wounded—

like he'd been brutally beaten.

If Orobashi had known the phrase "bumped into a car," he'd say Varunon was hit by one.

"My magic clearly didn't hit you. Why do you look seriously injured?" Orobashi asked, puzzled.

He truly wondered who had beaten the famous Sea God so badly.

"This... I hit myself."

"?"

"Are you sick?"

Subconsciously, Orobashi voiced his confusion, and his gaze turned slightly wary.

After all, this might be a disease even demons could catch.

He was so close... what if it was contagious?

Seeing how tense Poseidon was, he must have some incurable illness...

"Yeah." Varunon nodded without hesitation.

"I have a fear of insufficient repower."

"?"

Orobashi didn't understand Varunon's words fully, but he grasped the idea.

Because of a fear of lacking power... he seriously injured himself?

Orobashi quietly took a step back.

Poseidon was seriously ill.

That was Orobashi's first thought.

Varunon just laughed.

He wasn't angry at all.

Because Varunon had a good habit.

When facing Morax, he was timid.

But when facing a fellow sea god, he struck with full force!

He bullied the weak and feared the strong!

Now, he was facing Orobashi, the sea demon god...

If he didn't strike hard, wouldn't that be unfair to himself?

So, Varunon pulled a light blue long sword from the void—Tiamat.

The blade was two and a half feet long.

A faint light glowed.

The Pearl, forged from the Sea God's Heart Core, was embedded in the hilt.

It resonated with the sea's power, further boosting Varunon's might.

Forged from deep-sea underworld ore and Poseidon's body,

The Tiamat Divine Sword—enhanced by Poseidon's own energy—

Was now a weapon that could split seas and mountains with ease.

"Orobashi..."

The wounded Varunon, with a fierce smile, raised his sword toward Orobashi and spoke a line that would become iconic a thousand years later:

"FALL"
