La Liga – Matchday 7.
Celta Vigo vs Barcelona – Abanca Balaidos Stadium.
Abanca Balaidos Stadium… located in Vigo, Spain, Balaidos is a stadium with a rich history that has been renovated several times. It is the home of Celta since its inauguration in 1928.
The October sun poured over the Abanca Balaidos, casting long shadows across the pitch as fans and players awaited the moment of truth.
It was a Celta home game so of course, the fans were full of optimism, but by kickoff, it was clear they'd invited lions into their own den.
Hansi Flick rotated slightly, but kept the core of his team: Sam Moses led the line, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha on the flanks, Gavi pulling strings, Pedri marshalling midfield with Frenkie de Jong, while the defensive unit comprised of Balde, Cubarsí, Araújo, and Koundé.
From the first whistle, the high press smothered Celta.
FC Barcelona played with the fearlessness of champions in enemy ground.
