Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Austin had no option but to visit Gemstone Oasis to sell the necklace. Jeweler, upon picking necklace, locked to Austin. "Boy, whence did you obtain it?"

Austin wore a confused countenance. "Someone gave it to me."

The jeweler raised his eyebrows. "Who gave you this precious necklace?"

Austin was tired of question. "How much is it worth?"

"It belongs to the Lopez family. We can't afford to buy this."

The other jewelers in the stores seized Austin when they heard he had brought the lost necklace that belonged to the Lopez family.

On the day Anthony Lopez had an accident and died with his wife, their little boy was also with them, and no one knew his whereabouts after the incident.

The little boy disappeared with the family necklace. Then the Lopez family concluded that someone kidnapped the child to sell the necklace, and that finding the necklace would lead to finding the lost little boy.

The old Mrs. Lopez then asked all the jewelry stores to keep an eye on the missing necklace because someone could bring it one day.

"Where did you get it from?" The Jeweler asked again, but this time he asked with fury in his voice.

"If you can't buy it, then give it back to me," Austin snapped back, but couldn't lose himself in the other jeweler's hands.

The first jeweler slapped Austin and yearned, "if you don't answer my question, you will suffer here before dying in prison."

Austin hadn't eaten since last night. He saw a little myriad of stars because of the powerful slap from the Jeweler. Despite that, yet, he kept quiet because he didn't understand why they were so harsh to him.

"If we beat him very well, he would confess everything he knows about the necklace," the second Jeweler said.

They beat him before another jeweler called the police officers to intervene because Austin refused to say anything. He thought maybe the old Mr. Corey stole it before giving it to him, and so it is not wise to spoil the name of the family that once helped him from dying.

The Jewelers arrested him with police before accompanying him to the Lopez family mansion, where the old Mrs. Lopez examined the necklace before looking at Austin.

The moment she looked at him, she quickly recognized him as the son of Anthony because of the resemblance.

"Lose his hands," the old Mrs. Lopez told the police, and they removed the handcuffs off his hands.

The old Mrs. Lopez then hugged Austin tightly as tears dripped down her face. "Why does it take you so long to come back home, Henry?"

Everyone else exchanged glasses in shock.

The Jewelers were all shocked and were so afraid that they had beaten him too much.

Everyone was shocked. Everyone except Ethan, who clasped his hands as his eyes went red, thinking the young man before him could not be Henry.

Ethan was the next heir after Henry, and he had been celebrating his success since Henry was nowhere to be found. The coming of the young man Mrs. Lopez was shedding tears on was the hindrance to his success, and he couldn't just let it be.

Austin looked confused and didn't know what to do.

"What is your name?" the old Mrs. Lopez asked.

"Austin."

"Do you know me?"

Austin shook his head. "No."

"No problem. There are a lot of things you need to know, but for now, you need to change your clothes, take care of your wounds, and eat some food." She then led Austin into the mansion, and everyone followed except for Ethan, who drove his car to his father's house.

Dennis Lopez was lighting his cigarette when Ethan entered without knocking on the door, but with a reddened eye.

Dennis raised his head the moment the cigarette caught a spark of fire. He could read anger on the face of his son, and so he removed the cigarette from his mouth, asking, "Ethan, what happened?"

Ethan waited for a moment so that he wouldn't just snapped out of his anger. And then he relaxed himself and spoke out with a soft voice, "Henry had returned home."

"No way. How did you know?"

"They found the lost necklace with him."

"That doesn't guarantee him to be Henry. What did Mom say about him?"

"She just hugs him, and I don't know how she recognized him."

"Did you also believe he is the real Henry?"

"No. There is no way he can be."

"Very good," Dennis said. "You know one thing. Relax. I could say you are angry. Yes. They might plan to take away the heir position from you. But relax and watch me fight for you. Anytime we get there, don't act as if you're angry. Just follow and support what I will tell them. Okay?"

"Okay, sir," Ethan said.

"I want you to smile now," Dennis said before puffing on his cigarette and then Ethan smiled.

Dennis turned on his TV with a remote, and the news about the return of Lopez's heir showed up. Dennis saw the worried jeweler who found the lost necklace with him.

"Those are the people we need to visit first," Dennis said.

"I know the Gemstone Oasis stores. Should I take you there now?" Ethan asked, and Dennis nodded.

Ethan then drove Dennis to the Gemstone Oasis and walked inside to meet the worried jewelers.

The moment the Jewelers saw Ethan and Dennis, they recognized them and panicked, thinking Mrs. Lopez had sent them to take the jewelers to prison for beating their heir.

"Who saw him with the necklace first? Dennis asked, and the jewelers quickly pointed to the first jeweler, who was too scared to raise his head.

"I'm so sorry. We thought he was not the Lopez heir. We shouldn't have beat him," the first jeweler said.

"He is not." Dennis snapped back, and all of them raised their heads in shock. "And I am very glad you did the right thing. You should have beaten him to death; he cannot possibly be the lost heir.

Dennis then pointed to his son. "If you guys can support me. This is the next heir, and nobody would harm you for beating that bastard."

The jewelers felt a little relieved.

"In what way can we support you?" the first jeweler asked.

"Anytime the journalists asked you question, convince them that the young man couldn't be the heir of the Lopez family. I believe you guys can do it better and I can't just teach you what you have to say. As I stand before you, the Lopez mansion is the next place I would visit to convince my mom to do a DNA test for him before we can believe he is the real Henry."

All the jewelers hugged themselves happily and thanked Dennis for supporting them.

"Even if he is the real one after the DNA, can you please save us from his wrath because we beat him too much?" the second jeweler said.

"There is no way he could be the Henry. I learnt he called himself Austin, so how could he be Henry? How could a 10-year-old boy forget his name after the accident he encountered with his parents?" Dennis reassured them not to worry and to direct the press from reporting the ongoing news.
