Gry House – After the EngagementThe garden was full of life. Guests were enjoying the engagement party with laughter, music, and playful conversations. Meanwhile, Duke was heading inside with a servant.
Duke: "You may go."
Servant: "Sir, freshen up. I'll wait here."
Duke (in a bitter tone): "I said go. Leave now."
The servant looked into Duke's eyes, and a chill ran through his body. Terrified, he immediately walked away.
Once alone, Duke closed his eyes and began sensing the energy he had felt the moment he stepped into the house—pure and immensely powerful.
He pulled out a burnt, strange rat-like creature from his pocket. It was blind, with a twisted, blackened body. Duke placed it on the ground. It immediately began to sniff around.
Slowly, it made its way to a bookshelf and started bumping into it.
Duke focused mentally. In his mental vision, the shelf began to shrink until his attention fixed on the twelfth book on the third shelf.
He pressed the book. A hidden door opened.
Duke stepped inside. The creature followed. There was a staircase going down. He began descending.
Scene: Hidden Chamber The room was massive. Shelves lined with magical texts, weapons, ancient relics, and glowing bottles of blue and golden blood. Several vampire tombs were there—essential for those vampires whose power exceeded the limits of their bodies. Treasures were scattered around as well.
The creature went to a corner, where a black painting stood, depicting a vase with intricate carvings.
Duke placed the creature back in his pocket and approached the painting, hovering his hand above it.
As soon as he touched it, vibrations began, and a deadly, intense soul-energy spread throughout the room. The pressure was so extreme that a Silver core magician would be instantly destroyed, and even a Half-Gold would be severely wounded.
Painting: "WHO ARE YOU?"
Duke: "I'm the one who's going to take all your energy."
Painting: "Your blood smells of the Falcon family. How did you find out about this painting?"
Duke: "Your nose is sharp. But how I found out... is none of your concern."
Despite the immense pressure, the painting was shocked to see Duke standing upright.
Painting: "You're a Level 2 wizard. You've hidden your chakras in your soul. How are you withstanding this pressure as a Level 2 magician? Wait… how do you have a silver core in your body?!"
Duke: "Yes, I'm also a vampire. And this is exactly what you think it is—a silver core."
Painting: "Impossible! No vampire has ever trained both powers! A vampire can either be a magician or a full vampire... this can't be true!"
Duke: "It's all true... and it's right in front of you."
Painting: "I've never heard of anyone like you..."
Duke: "Because no one ever told you. People like me are one in a million."And I even know them personally.
Painting: "Tell me a name... just one?"
Duke: "Anubis and Balor."
Silence fell.(Anubis and Balor were the last two Supremes of this world—1000 years ago. Since then, no one has reached that level.)
Painting: "What...? Then why don't people know about this?"
Duke: "Because some don't want this secret to come out."
Gradually, the soul within the painting went quiet. A line from the vase disappeared, and so did the voice and pressure.
Duke: "That was thrilling. The inner power of a Level 6 soul... was truly incredible."
Then he sat near the tomb and began absorbing the energy.
Three chakras emerged from his body. Two smaller chakras began to spin around him, and a large umbrella-type chakra hovered above his head. The energy from the painting created a third chakra between the two smaller ones. It spun slowly and merged into the main chakra. Then all three chakras merged into his soul.
Duke had now become a Level 3 Wizard.
He sealed the chakras within his soul—so no one could detect them.

As soon as Duke finished his work, he was about to leave when his eyes fell upon a black flame burning in a furnace.
Duke: "This is what the Smiths use for refining and forging weapons... it's priceless."
[Note: Smith is a profession that both vampires and magicians can pursue. They craft soul artifacts, refine blood, forge weapons, and drive magical innovation.]
He absorbed a small portion of the flame and stored it in his mind.
Duke (thinking): "Seems I'll have to learn Smithing... it'll come in handy."
He climbed the stairs and exited the chamber. As he rejoined the guests in the party, no one could have guessed that beneath their feet, Duke had just become immeasurably more powerful.
