Chapter 7 - [Chapter 7] — [Slim Shark]

Kazuki stood over Boulder's body, breathing hard, Blood was all over his shirt, his blade, his hands.

The huge man lay there with a hole in his head, not moving anymore.

"I lied," Kazuki muttered coldly.

The street was quiet again, no footsteps, no gunshots, Only the sound of his own heavy breathing.

He wiped the blood from his mouth with the back of his hand, picked up his blade, slid it back into its sheath, and walked away. His steps were slow but steady, each one leaving a faint print of red on the concrete.

His side burned like fire, His ribs hurt with every breath, but his mind was sharper than ever he wasn't just injured he was pissed.

Razor…

He said the name in his head, but there was no emotion on his face only that dead, calm coldness that made even killers afraid.

Kazuki moved away from the city lights and into the darker parts of the streets until they turned into dirt paths, Soon trees started surrounding him.

The forest was quiet, too quiet

"Ugh…" he muttered, pressing his hand against his wound. I guess I've gone pretty far, I need to act fast… Who would want me dead?

He paused, chuckling bitterly to himself,

"Yeah right… I forgot I'm a killer alot of people want me dead."

He kept walking, scanning the trees, his ears catching every tiny sound an insect, the rustle of leaves, a distant owl.

His legs ached, his breathing was uneven

"Arrgh… this wound. I think I should rest a little here, My body needs a break."

He found a large tree and was just about to lower himself to sit against it when

THUNK!

Something hit the tree right where his head would have been. Kazuki froze and slowly looked to the side.

It was an arrow, but not just any arrow it had a small red blinking light on it.

What the… who the hell still uses arrows in this modern era?

Before he could say any other thing

BOOM!

The arrow exploded, blasting splinters and dirt into the air.

Kazuki rolled to the side, covering his face.

"Hahahaha!" A voice came from the shadows between the trees. How stupid of you to hide in the woods!

Hope he didn't dodge that. I don't want this to be hard. Just kill him and get the money, the assassin thought

Kazuki narrowed his eyes, as he picked his gun.

Then—SWOOSH!

"ARGHHH! My leg! My leg!" the boy's cried out in pain.

How did he see me in this darkness? the boy wondered.

Kazuki stepped forward, his voice calm. You thought you could kill me with that arrow?

A figure came limping out limping he had messy spiky hair dyed bright blue, eyes sharp but now twisted with pain, he wore combat trousers, heavy boots, and a white sleeveless shirt.

"Bitch! You just shot my leg! I'll make you pay!" the boy yelled.

Kazuki smirked faintly. Hahaha… I remember now. Rikuya.

[Codename: Slim Shark / assassin No. 80.]

The son of that bastard who runs the top arms dealer company in Shibuya. He tilted his head slightly. Explosive arrows, huh? I see you have improved alot more efficient now.

Rikuya's eyes narrowed. You can talk all you want, Kazuki, but know this these are gonna be your last words.

Kazuki's smirk faded. You know, I once had a grudge against your father, he was once on my list but I let him live for the pact we made. That's the only reason you're even breathing now, So here's what's gonna happen I am not going to kill you but I am going to make you suffer.

Rikuya tightened his grip on a pistol he had. "You won't get the chance—"

But before he could finish, Dash!

Kazuki vanished from his spot.

Rikuya's eyes widened. "Where—?"

BAM!

Kazuki reappeared right in front of him, his hand clamping over Rikuya's face, he slammed him into the nearest tree with such force the bark cracked.

Then came the punches, One, Two,Three, Four, Too fast for normal eyes to follow. Kazuki's fists blurred, each hit connecting with a sickening thud. Blood sprayed from Rikuya's mouth as his head whipped back with each blow.

By the last punch, his face was already swelling.

Kazuki grabbed him by the collar, lifting him like a ragdoll, his eyes were cold. "How pathetic…" he muttered.

Then he flung him across the clearing. Rikuya's body hit another tree and slid to the ground, gasping for air.

Kazuki walked toward him slowly, each step echoing in the silent forest, He knelt and picked up one of the boy's arrows. The red light was blinking faintly.

"Pl… please, Kazuki," Rikuya coughed. I only wanted the money.

"Don't worry, kiddo," Kazuki said calmly, I am going to let you live today. But next time don't chase bigger things you can't handle.

Before Rikuya could reply, Kazuki stabbed the arrow through his hand, the red light blinked faster.

Rikuya's eyes widened, No!

BOOM!

The explosion ripped through the clearing, throwing dirt, leaves, and smoke into the air.

When it cleared, Rikuya was on the ground, his hand completely shattered, barely conscious.

Kazuki didn't look back, He just turned and walked away, disappearing deeper into the woods.

Somewhere else…

Inside a dark office, a man walked in.

"Sir," he said, standing stiffly. Saint Rolley, Boulder, and Slim Shark all failed against Kazuki and others are beginning to think it's not worth it.

The man sitting in the chair didn't turn around, His back was facing the door, one hand resting on the armrest.

"Ok," the seated man said finally. Say no more, increase the money to one billion.

The other man hesitated. "One… billion, sir?"

"Yes," the man in the chair said, his voice was low but deadly.

"Ok, sir," the man said, bowing slightly before turning to leave.

When the door closed, the man in the chair hit the desk hard with his fist, His lips curled into an unpleasant grin that didn't reach his eyes.

"Kazuki…" he muttered, his voice dripping with killing intent. "Just die."
