Kraven's gaze sharpened. "I want to hear your version. Just you and me. No elders. No brother watching."
Her heart pounded for a second, Athena thought about deflecting. Then, surprising even herself, she met his gaze and said flatly, "I killed the man sent by my own father because he would've raped me. Because I wasn't going to be another weak individual they could toy with and I don't regret it."
The silence stretched.
Then Kraven's lips parted into a slow, dangerous smile… not mocking, but laced with dark intrigue. "Good, that's the kind of fire my brother doesn't deserve."
Athena shook her head in disappointment… "I can't believe you are enjoying this… you brought me here and talked about my dark past which I want to forget once and for all. You know why I prefer Xavier over you?"
Kraven raised his brow… "Why?"
