Athena froze at the threshold of her quarters, unease prickling down her spine as Gina, Sarah and Levi vanished almost too quickly, leaving the corridor silent. She glanced between the retreating backs and Kraven's looming figure. "Wait… what happened?" she demanded, her voice tight.
"They must have forgotten something to bring up," Kraven said smoothly, his hand gesturing casually toward her door. "Don't worry. Let's go inside."
Her pulse spiked. She took a step back, shaking her head firmly. "No. You won't step inside my room. Why should we be alone in there together?"
Kraven chuckled lowly, his smile sharp and knowing. "Oh? Are you worried something might happen between us if we're left alone together?"
Athena's jaw clenched, her skin crawling at the insinuation. "You're disgusting."
