Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 – Echoes of the Beginning

Kaelen's consciousness slipped into darkness again.

The weightless void stretched endlessly around him, the same realm of nothingness he had stumbled into before. His feet touched down with a feather-light step, and he sighed, annoyed.

"Seriously… this place again?"

But before he could think further, something pulled at him. A violent, unseen force gripped his body, yanking him backwards at incomprehensible speed. Space itself warped and twisted, his vision collapsing into streaks of light as though he were being dragged through the very currents of time.

And then—

The scene shifted.

Kaelen found himself suspended in a vast, radiant expanse. He felt small, insignificant, yet utterly compelled to watch.

At the center stood a figure of indescribable majesty—Veldanava, the Star King Dragon, awakening in the Place of Beginning. His presence alone made Kaelen's soul tremble.

Around him surged eight shining embodiments of pure elemental forces, the Great Holy Spirits. They were formless, radiant, brimming with power but without wills of their own. Veldanava raised his hand, his voice echoing through existence like the first note of creation.

"Come forth, children of light."

From the Great Holy Spirit of Light, seven luminous forms emerged, shaped into majestic servants. Their wings gleamed like dawn, their gazes firm with duty. The Seven Angels of Origin were born.

Then Veldanava moved. With each gesture, reality folded and unfolded. Using the power of the Great Spirits and a force ,Kaelen knew it as Imaginary Collapse, he shaped countless worlds—each with different skies, seas, and laws of existence. Planes of fire, oceans of stars, lands of eternal frost—multitudes beyond comprehension.

And at the center of all this creation lay a vast, resplendent sphere—the Central World. Veldanava looked upon it with a faint, serene smile.

"This world… shall hold the greatest of my children. Spirits of power, given flesh… godly men who will walk eternity."

Kaelen's breath caught. He realized he wasn't merely dreaming—he was witnessing the birth of existence itself. His body shook as the vision shattered again, dragging him further through time.

This time, the scene was chaos.

A monstrous, grotesque presence oozed into reality—Ivarage. Its form was shifting, incomplete, yet horrifyingly vast. Kaelen instinctively felt it: this wasn't meant to exist. It was the fractured remnant of Veldanava himself, left behind when he abandoned omnipotence.

A mindless hunger burned in its essence—an endless desire to reunite with what it had lost.

The earth trembled as it rampaged through the Central World. The sky tore open with every roar.

Seven figures descended in unison—the Angels of Origin. Their brilliance lit up the battlefield, wings spread wide as they unleashed their authority. Blades of light, spears of flame, songs that could erase corruption—all rained upon the abomination.

But still, Ivaragé endured. Each step shook the foundations of the world.

Then, like a crimson comet, Guy Crimson appeared, his blade whistling through the air as he grinned with battlelust. His strikes carved mountains, his aura colliding with the angels' powers in a storm of devastation.

Kaelen could barely comprehend it. His soul felt like it would tear apart just watching.

And then Veldanava himself descended.

With calm divinity, he spread his arms wide, power unfurling like the universe itself. Golden chains of law wrapped around Ivaragé, binding its writhing body. With a voice that silenced creation, he declared:

"Return to silence."

The world split open, a rift into the Otherworld yawning wide. With immeasurable effort, Veldanava hurled Ivaragé into it, sealing the beast away beyond reality.

Kaelen fell to his knees, trembling. He had seen it—the creation of the world… and the sealing of the world-destroying dragon.

He gasped awake, sitting upright in his bed, drenched in cold sweat. His heart pounded as though it would burst from his chest.

But before he could catch his breath, a system window flickered into existence before him.

Kaelen stared at the list, stunned. "So many… all at once…?"

Founder's calm voice echoed in his mind. "While you were unconscious, I activated Primordial Ingestion. I absorbed the essence of the corrupted dragon you fought."

Kaelen froze, realization hitting him. "…That's how I gained these…"

"Yes. But no time for shock—you've been unconscious for two days. Hurry. Go downstairs. Your family awaits."

Kaelen rushed out, still dizzy. Entering the main hall, he was instantly enveloped.

"Kaelen!" Lyra flung herself at him, hugging tightly. Tears brimmed in her eyes, her relief unrestrained.

His mother followed, voice breaking as she embraced him. "Thank the heavens—you're awake. I was so worried…"

Even Allaric, leaning casually against the wall, smiled faintly. "Finally decided to wake up, huh, little brother?"

Kaelen chuckled weakly. "Guess I kept you waiting."

The rest of the day was spent with warmth, laughter, and relief. Kaelen even penned a letter to Selianne, assuring her he was fine—especially after Lyra told him Selianne had stayed at the estate for a whole day, waiting and worrying.

But night brought restlessness.

Kaelen stood alone in the training grounds, moonlight reflecting on his determined face.

"Founder… let's test them."

He conjured a plain sword, then poured Light Essence and Holy Essence into it. Activating Essence Forge, the weapon shimmered, transforming into a blade of radiant purity. One swing carved the air with a brilliant slash that burned like molten dawn.

"This… could erase even demons. And this seems compareable to melt slash."

Next, he activated Masked Existence, before shifting into his Dragon Form V1. Wings unfurled from his back, scales hardened across his body, and gained a new dragon breath, its a condensed vortex of fused fire, light and darkness—Eclipse Dragon Breath.

The ground scorched where it struck.

Then, he asked to founder about his new vision ability as he activated it. His eyes gleamed with draconic light.

Founder's voice explained:

"Skill compriension : Sees true names, ranks, abilities and how those abilites work.

Kaelen's jaw tightened. "This is… insane."

Finally, he turned his focus on the last ability he had never dared to touch.

Annihilarch.

As he tried to activate it, the system went berserk.

Kaelen stared at the glowing text, the night air heavy around him.

"…So this power have conditions huh."
