*Chapter 1: The Offer*
The police sirens wailed as Fatima stood frozen outside the courthouse. Her father had just been sentenced—accused of fraud and embezzlement in a case that made no sense.
"We'll appeal," the lawyer had said, but his eyes lacked hope.
She didn't even have money for transport, let alone an appeal.
Her phone buzzed. Unknown number.
*"Come to Elite Tower. 7th floor. Now."*
No name. Just a message.
She knew who it was.
Jamil Danlami.
The youngest CEO in the city. Cold, powerful, and merciless. The same man who stood in court as the complainant. The same man whose company her father once worked for.
What did he want now?
Still, she went.

The office was made of glass and silence. Jamil didn't look up as she entered.
"You said you wanted my attention," he said coldly. "Now I have yours."
Fatima clenched her fists. "Why are you doing this to us?"
He finally looked up. "Your father took what wasn't his. I'm just cleaning the mess."
Her voice broke. "Please. Help me. I'll do anything."
He stood, walked toward her, and dropped a file on the table.
*Marriage contract.*"Be my wife—for one year. No love. No expectations. Just a name on paper. In return, your father walks free."
Her world tilted.
"You're joking."
"I don't joke. Sign it. Or watch your father rot in prison."
