Chapter 17 - Aria Acquires Bhaals Space Ring

"Impossible, we lost, we actually lost to a little child, wait, is that Yinrou, how did she?" Kadan Stormfury, who is currently kneeling on one leg, mentally says, looking in awe at her little sister, who begins to stand up, being assisted up by Yinrou. "Yinrou, she has actually made that legendary beast into his familiar, but how even Kedan was unable to tame it just what makes her special I nearly died when bhaal tried to cast the familiar bonding spell." Varyn Ironwolf mentally says as he begins to stand after being knocked down from the powerful attack, "Magic, martial arts, and now Yinrou the legendary shadow wolf just what kind of monster does Bhaal want to create." says Darek Nightfire as he begins to stand after being knocked down by yinrous powerful attack whle still picking up his staff, "Cant believe she took all of as on she even countered my attack mid air truly worthy of being bhaals disciple even though I hate to admit it." says Lorcan Mistborn as he gets up from the ground after Yinrous attack with a mad smile filled with excitement, "So this is her power even without Yinrou she was able to keep up with all of us, did father know that we would lose from the begining." Riven Shadowwolf, who is on the ground due to Yinrous' attack, mentally says as she looks at Bhaal, who is currently looking at Aria with a gentle but cold smile.

Bhaal suddenly teleports in front of Aria and picks her up on her arm as he looks at the rest of his disciples, who are still getting up after being knocked out by Aria. " Well, it seems that you lost to a little child who is barely one. The powerful crimson bloods ranked 1 to 5 defeated by a bhaalspawn who has not participated in the gauntlet." Bhaal says as he gently pats Aria on the head. "I don't get it if these are the strongest of the bhaalspawns, then I have have just shifted the power strucrure of the entire family, By how every one was talking about them I expected them to be stronger, I didn't even have to use my psionic abilities if I had used only my 3rd class spells I would have ended it in half the time, I dont know if it is just me or is my spell casting faster than most mages even when I compare to mom and Darek they usually takes 30 to 40 seconds to cast a spell while I only take 5 seconds, but I still have be cautious until I get more info on them I can't let my guard down," Aria says mentally as Bhaal place Aria on the ground. "Father, it's unfair how are we're supposed to defeat Aria if she has Yinrou? Varyn Ironwolf says as he refuses to believe that Aria actually won. "Do the rest of you feel the same as your brother if you do raise your hands ?" Bhaal says as all of them raise their hands except for Kadan Stormfury and Lorcan Mistborn. "Kadan, are you okay with this? You know what's at stake. If the result of this battle is to be considered just, then Aria will be the captain of the Crimson Bloods. "Shut the fuck up if you haven't realized our fight is being brodcusted to the entire family using the training grounds observation crystal, your actions are unbecoming of a crimson blood, you speak of fairness Aria fought all 5 of us at the same time and held out despite her being barely 1 year old, when you were her age you were crawling and playing but unlike us in that short period Aria has become a 3rd class mage, a martial artist who is able to fight against aura users like me, you ,Lorcan and Riven on equal footing, not to mention forming a familiar bond with Yinrou. If you can't see the difference between her and us, you're not just arrogant, you are simply an idiot." Kadan says as he begins walking towards Aria as he closes near Aria he stops, " I, Kadan, rank 1 of the crimson bloods, acknowledge my defeat and recognize you as the Head captain of the crimson bloods." Kadan says as he bows in respect. " I, Lorcan Mistborn, rank 4 of the crimson bloods, acknowledge my defeat and recognize you as the Head Captain of the crimson bloods," Lorcan says as he follows his brother's lead. "What about you three?" Bhaal asks as we see multiple screens in different locations within Bhaal's estate showing the events happening within the central halls, training grounds for everyone to see. The rest of the three contemplate for a moment, then begin walking towards Aria as they near the bow in respect, then one by one begin, " I, Darek Nightfire, rank 3 of the crimson bloods, acknowledge my defeat and recognize you as the Head captain of the crimson bloods." Darek says as he respectfully bows towards Aria, " I, Riven Shadowwolf, rank 5 of the crimson bloods, acknowledge my defeat and recognize you as the Head Captain of the crimson bloods." Riven says as she respectfully bows towards Aria, " I, Varyn Ironwolf, rank 2 of the crimson bloods, acknowledge my defeat and recognize you as the Head Captain of the crimson bloods." Varyn says as he respectfully bows towards Aria.

"Well, would you look at that, Aria, congratulations on becoming the head captain," Bhaal says as he looks at Aria, who, although in pain from her sprained leg, stands strong in a commanding presence not daring to show weakness. "Let it be known to everyone within the estate that I, Bhaal, as of this moment proclaim that Aria Von Sindra, Daughter of Alianna Von Sindra, is hereby formally given the title of Direct disciple and leader of the crimson bloods and as such is granted level 1 clearance to all facilities within the estate," Bhaal says as the transmission on the events of what is happening in the Training hall is cut off and the observation crystal stops glowing. "Well, Aria, do you have anything to say to your underlings?"Bhaal says to Aria. " Lorcan, Darek, Riven, Kadan, and Varyn, I know I am still young and inexperienced, but I will try to be a good leader and hope we can become friends," Aria says to her fellow siblings. All of them look at Aria for a moment. Lorcan momentarily laughs, "Aren't you sweet, Aria I, too hope we can be friends so we can spar again." Lorcan says as he pats his little sister. "Okay, everyone, that's enough for today. You may leave. I wish to talk with Aria alone."Bhaal says, and all the disciples begin to leave the room. Before leaving, Varyn looks at Aria with a vicious look like that of a lion ready to hunt as he passes past Aria and closes the door, leaving Aria Yinrou and Bhaal within the training hall.

Bhaal momentarily looks at Arias' sprained leg, then looks at one of his rings. He then says "storage," and a portal-like subspace opens in front of him. " Is that a magic item?" Aria asks with curiosity. Suddenly, a bottle containing a red liquid appears in Bhaal's hand. He hands the bottle to Aria, "Before we continue, drink this."Bhaal says, handing the bottle to Aria. Aria momentarily pauses to examine the bottle. " For god's sake, Aria, it's not poison, drink it already."Bhaal says as Aria is sniffing the bottle's contents. Aria decides to drink the potion. "Hmm, it tastes like strawberry." Suddenly, he feels a refreshing feeling across her body, and the pain in her leg is gone. "Hope your leg is better. What you drank is a healing potion. As for my ring, it's not a magic item but a spirit item, categorically a storage item called a space ring. You see Aria, Space Rings are storage tools used for storing non-living items. In order for one to create a Space Ring, one cuts out a space from the universe and places it within a ring, which, I have to be brutally honest, is very difficult. They are considered luxury items in the universe. In order for one to use it, the owner uses his or her Spirit Energy or, in our case, psionic energy, in order to create a Spirit Imprint to establish ownership of the ring. Space Rings have different storage capacities, and their cost depends on both their durability and their storage limits. Mine, for example, has a storage capacity of 50 million cubic meters . This ring cost me quite a fortune during my time as an adventurer." Bhaal says as he removes the ring and places it on the floor, "Pick it up." Bhaal says, pointing towards the ring. "Seriously, what the hell is this guy thinking?"Aria says mentally. "Wait, what the hell is this? It isn't budging, no matter how much I try. Wait, are those cracks? How much does this ring weigh?" Aria says as he tries to pick it up. "My lady, use your psionic energy," Dream tells her master telepathically. Aria begins injecting psionic energy into the ring; she is able to lift it a few inches before being exhausted and dropping it. "Interesting, you figured it out." Bhaal says as he picks it up. " Aren't you a smart one Bhaal laughs, seemingly amused at Arias' thinking. "As a congratulations for passing the second test, I give you this space ring as a gift, Administrator privilege x35B13 ownership change. Take it, Aria, pass some of your psionic energy into it," Bhaal says as he gives him his ring. "Wait, it's not as heavy, it weighs just like a normal ring," Aria says as she begins injecting her psionic energy into the ring. Suddenly, a voice from the ring begins talking. "Ownership recognition confirmed, ownership has been changed to Aria von Sindra to assess your storage space. Simply say or telepathically think storage, and the storage functions will be activated," a voice from the ring says. Aria then places the ring on her finger and thanks his father. "You're welcome, inside the ring, you will find various treasures and items within the vast storage space, including 2 Alloy Armors, 1 Ancient Civilization Gravity Room, 6 automaton Puppets, and 1 bio-Ship. 1 young Black Tendril plant, 5 Blood River Crystals,1 bloodline Evolution Agent, 50 Billion Universe Coins, 200 million Ganwu Coin, 500 Million Black Dragon Coin, 100 Billion Silver Blue Coins, various other item, artifacts, books on various topics, and 3000 cultivation technique manuals which I have collected during my journey consider it as congratulations gift for passing your second test, your first test was to test your power growth and conviction the second test was todays training I wanted to see how you use the abilities you have learnt and mastered to defy outcomes even when your odds of winning is only 1% remember this two lesson and use them for your growth as for your next test it maybe tomorrow, may be in week, may be in months, may be in years, may be in centurys but know this as my disciple your test will continue to come over and over but always remember this two lesson and you will overcome them and eventually the universe itself will come to tremble before your might ." Bhaal says as he suddenly begins to cough up blood. Aria goes and picks up a nearby chair and gives it to his father. Bhaal sits as he holds his hand on his chest. "Father, are you alright?" Aria asks. "Don't worry, Aria, I am just a little sick." Bhaal says as he wipes off the blood coming from his mouth."Father I don't know what to say you have given me so many items some of which I don't know even understand for example the currencies you have given me are they even real money? " ha, ha, ha don't worry so much Aria all will reveal itself when the time comes for now focus on learning and enhancing your psionic energy using the cultivation techniques I have given you." Bhaal says as he pats Aria on her head. " Still, it feels much. What is it you want? I don't believe that you gave me all this without expecting something in return."Aria says. "You dumb bitch just take the ring and leave. Who cares why he gave you? I have never seen such incredible items and treasures," Dream says Telepathically to Aria. " Very well, I will tell you why, but with a story of a warrior I had the honour of meeting. In a quiet village at the edge of the world, there lived a man named Elias. Once, he had been a seeker of power, love, meaning, and purpose. But as the years pressed on, he saw the fleeting nature of everything. The laughter of youth faded into silence; ambitions dissolved into dust. Yet, Elias persisted, not out of hope, but out of an unwavering sense of self.

One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, Elias sat alone on a hill overlooking the valley. His eyes gazed into the distance, pondering the same questions that had haunted him for decades: What is the point of it all? The world spun on, indifferent to his existence, like a river flowing endlessly, carrying with it countless lives, each a bubble shimmering briefly before vanishing into the depths.

He remembered the love he once had—fiery, intense, and fleeting. A love that had slipped through his fingers like sand. For a moment, he had believed it could last forever, but time, as always, proved otherwise. Still, he cherished that memory, a flicker of meaning in the vast darkness.

Elias had known suffering loss, betrayal, loneliness. Yet he had also witnessed beauty, mountains shrouded in dawn mist, children's laughter echoing in the woods, the quiet grace of a dying star. These marvels, these horrors they were the fabric of his journey, and he had embraced them all.

As night fell, Elias closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He felt the weight of years in his bones, but also a profound sense of clarity. He was no longer driven by the desire for salvation or recognition. His path was his own, ruthless, lonely, true. Each step he took was deliberate, each decision made with awareness. He had walked his road without apology, because it was his.

He thought of death not as an enemy, but as a natural part of the voyage. If it arrived today or tomorrow, so be it. He had lived authentically, with no regrets. His love, though perhaps unfulfilled in the eyes of others, had been real. His existence, in its raw honesty, had been enough.

As the stars emerged above, Elias smiled softly. His journey was ending, but his witness to the world's marvels, horrors, and beauty would remain. And in that quiet knowledge, he found peace. You ask me why I do this. I do this so that even if I leave this world today or tomorrow, someone worthy will remember me and carry on my legacy, even if it is only in memory," Bhaal says as he lifts his hand as if wishing to touch the sky. "What the actual fuck, is this guy mental? What does that have to do with my question? "Aria says mentally. Suddenly, a maid enters the room and kneels in respect. "Greeting, my Lord, Irenicus and Amelyssan have returned from their missions and are waiting for you in the office," the maid says. Bhaal begins to stand. "Aria, always remember this story and train hard. I will check on you from time to time. For now, I have other matters to attend to; you are free to go." Bhaal says as he teleports from the training grounds while telepathically telling Aria to keep the ring a secret from everyone and take time to understand its other features when she has time, leaving Aria, Yinrou, and the maid alone in the central palace training grounds. "Hello, my lady, congratulations on becoming Bhaal's direct disciple. Liza is extremely happy for you. She is well and currently waiting for you in your room. Should you find time, feel free to see her?" the maid says as she bows in respect seeming fearing Aria de to her high rank. No sooner had she finished speaking than Aria rushed for the door, but before she left, she thanked the maid for the info leaving her a little surprised by her polite nature "Liza is lucky to have been assigned to such a kind mistress like Aria." the maid says mentally as she leaves the central hall observing Aria running in the hall going to her room, The scene ends as as Aria enters the room and finds Liza cleaning her study table before rushing to her and hugging her leg.
