Shortly after that he departed from his meeting with master Jet, now once again he was standing infront of his house watching trucks move in furniture and add on's to the house for handicapped.
The reason he was doing this of course being Effie. Sadly for him he didnt have a car of any sorts so he dived into the shadows, gliding through the city all the way to the address Effie had given him.
In all honesty this meeting was going to be short just like the next, after all this was more of a send off than anything else.
By the time he arrived Effie was out on the porch of her parents house, watching a nearby river and fishes jumping out the water at times with a calm smile on her face. Something far different than the raunchy woman he knows.
"Sup."
She turnt to him, before the ferocious grin she always carried appeared once more on her sickly face. He couldn't help but smile as well, his life was far too inconsistent. Having Effie be a constant was quite nice to say the least.
He walked up the porch before grabbing the handles to her wheel chair and began to push her down the ramp next to the stairs.
"Are you parents going to send you off or anything?"
She thought for a moment before speaking.
"Nah I told them to go take a nice vacation once I assured them you could take care of me."
He looked back at the house, Sunny didn't like the thought of empty houses, not in the slightest.
"So how are we getting to your place doofus? Are you going to carry me all the way there!"
He smiled before lifting her up out the wheelchair, he wanted to test something out.
"Of course how else?"
With a nervous look on her face she tried to push out of my arms.
"Come on! It was just a joke! No need to take it so serio--!"
He plunged into the shadows, along with Effie, gliding across the city once more.
There was another reason why he wanted to do this, due to them being in shadows even if it's only for a bit.
Effie won't be able to feel her disability, she wont be able to feel it, precieve it or anything of the such.
She wouldnt be able to precieve anything really, but still.
This was the most he could do for her at the moment.
By the time they had gotten to Sunny's house the afternoon sun had arrived and his next meeting was also coming up.
When they popped out the shadows she sprawled out on the floor throwing up into the grass.
"Oh how the mighty have fallen!"
She sent him a glare back before throwing up agian.
The movers and everyone else seemed to be gone, that was quicker than he had expected luckily.
He went inside the house pulling out a wheelchair before helping her in it and pushing her inside the refurbished house.
"What.. what in the gods is this?"
He smiled before dropping a piece of paper on her lap.
"W-Wait Sunn--!"
"You own this place now."
He smiled before giving her another piece of paper which is a layout of how he refurbished the house.
"Every day I've set a large amount of cooked and prepared food to be delivered, as for cleaning once a week professional and trusted cleaners will come in and make this place spick and span."
He saw her mouth agape and her eyes wide, before she could ask him anything he spoke once more.
"I only want one thing in return.. or perhaps two things."
He pointed to the right of him, a distant look on his face.
"There's a young girl next door, shes my student. In my absence make sure to teach her the best you can, and also.. keep Nephis company."
"What are you even talking abo--!"
In the middle of a blink while speaking Sunny was gone, traversing the shadows once more.
---
He saw Kai waiting, sunglasses, a hoodie, and a mask.
"Sup."
Kai lifted his mask down a little letting Sunny see his dimpled smile, by the dead god's his handsomeness was simply aggravating.
"Hi Sunny! I just got here as well!"
That was a lie, Sunny could sense him here 30min before he arrived as he took his time.
Still, it was nice.
Kai was someone he could confidently call a friend, but with that he also knew how Kai struggled with relationships due to his flaw. So as a good friend he decided to do the best he could do to mediate this.
"So what did you call me out for? You made it sound so ominous over text so in all honesty I am quite nervous.."
A sinister smile appeared on Sunny's face as he spoke.
"Well you see.. I've set you up on a blind date!"
"Huh."
"Huh..?"
"Huh?!"
Kai jumped up, his ears slightly red from under his hood, almost as red as his hair.
"Y-you what! Look! I appreciate the thought but dating is the least of my worries at the time! And plus look at my outfit! Even if I went--!"
Sunny had a shadow extend and hit him softly on the head. Suddenly another shadow came carrying something from a distance, this being a bag that contained a suit.
"Ah.. Gods.. I'm really going through with this aren't I..?"
---
Sunny snickered from behind the bushes, he was watching Kai nervously sit across from a girl who was eating the most expensive meal on the menu. She was honestly leading the conversation, that conversation being completely economical or course as all good conversations are.
Sitting across from Kai was Aiko from the dark city. She was a good helping hand during the take over, plus he felt like they would be a good odd pairing.
Well his job was practically done, sneaking a condom into Kai's pocket and Aiko's dress pocket he jumped into the shadows once more landing near a bench.
Sitting on that bench was Nephis.
...
"Sup."
