The Power of God
"Elder Setsuna, what is a kaleidoscope?"
Yatsushiro and several others were puzzled and quickly stepped forward to ask.
Setsuna looked at the group, his expression solemn, and said in a deep voice:
"The Kaleidoscope Sharingan is the advanced form after the evolution of the Three-Tomoe Sharingan—it is the pinnacle of Uchiha's ocular power! In the past, even Uchiha Madara-sama possessed such eyes."
Setsuna had once followed Madara, and when he was young, he had personally witnessed that pair of terrifying eyes.
"Kaleidoscope…"
Dozens of clansmen present repeated those words in disbelief.
They had always thought the Three-Tomoe Sharingan was the ultimate form, yet today they learned there was something higher—something more terrifying.
Madara Uchiha himself had awakened them.
Even if most had never directly seen the kaleidoscope's abilities, Madara's reputation alone was overwhelming. A warrior who once stood at the summit of the shinobi world, second only to the God of Shinobi, Senju Hashirama.
Though Madara had abandoned the clan, even to this day many Uchiha still carried pride in his existence, holding him up as the unreachable peak of their bloodline.
And now… Setsuna had revealed that Shisui also wielded such eyes.
At this revelation, countless gazes turned toward Shisui. Though he had not yet unleashed the power of the kaleidoscope, awe already filled their eyes.
"It turns out I lost to a Kaleidoscope user. So it's not that I'm weak… but that Shisui is simply too strong."
Yatsushiro tried to save face, murmuring the words aloud, but no one cared for his excuses.
Even Inabi and Tekka, usually calm, couldn't hide the burning longing in their eyes as they stared at Shisui.
The duel between Duan and Shisui had finally reached its most decisive point.
Shisui straightened his posture, his bleeding lips forming steady words:
"You are too strong… terrifyingly strong. Right now, the only way I can think of to stop you is to use that technique. I must—stop you here!"
His tone revealed both recognition of Duan's power and an unyielding resolve.
For the sake of Uchiha's future—he had no choice but to win.
"Come on." Duan's reply was simple, his stance unshaken.
He knew well that Shisui's kaleidoscope held the legendary Kotoamatsukami—the ability to alter another's will permanently—but that technique required over a decade to recharge after use.
Here, in a duel meant to display strength before the clan, Shisui's "that technique" could only mean one thing—Susanoo.
Would Duan be afraid?
The answer was no.
Boom!
Duan's feet exploded against the ground as he rushed forward like a cannonball, fist blasting a fierce gust of wind.
Shisui's kaleidoscope whirled, and his pupil power surged.
In the blink of an eye—
A massive emerald hand, nearly five meters long, erupted behind Shisui. Its fingers curled into a fist and smashed forward.
Boom!
The colossal fist collided with Duan's charge, knocking him back several meters.
Deng deng deng!
Duan steadied himself, his arms aching faintly, but his expression remained fierce.
"Drink!"
Shisui roared, forming the tiger seal. From his body burst a torrent of chakra so dense it became visible.
The hand expanded—followed by ribs, a spine, and then a looming skull. In moments, a towering emerald skeleton nearly seven meters high loomed over the field.
Then, sinew and flesh layered over bone, a breastplate of chakra armored the chest, and a spiraling blade formed in its right hand.
Half-bodied, clad in armor, and radiating divine might—Susanoo stood completed.
"So this is the power of god that Shisui spoke of…?"
Even Itachi was shaken.
In his Sharingan, the green giant blazed with brilliance, a walking fortress of raw chakra. To imagine that such a weapon could be wielded by a single shinobi—it defied reason.
In the crowd, Setsuna could no longer contain himself and cried out, voice trembling with reverence:
"Susanoo! That's right—it's Susanoo!"
His outburst spread confusion among the clansmen, who pressed forward with urgent questions.
Setsuna explained, his tone heated with both fear and pride:
"Susanoo is the ultimate pupil technique, born only from the kaleidoscope. Look—Shisui has materialized his ocular power, summoning a guardian deity that shields him and smites his foes. With absolute defense and overwhelming offense, Susanoo is Uchiha's true divine weapon! Madara-sama himself once unleashed this power against the First Hokage at the Valley of the End. This is Uchiha's godly might—whoever faces it on the battlefield faces certain death!"
His words left the clansmen's minds buzzing.
Even far away, Kakashi, hidden in the trees, subconsciously touched his left eye.
The Sharingan Obito had entrusted to him… could it truly one day awaken such power? He suddenly felt a pang of guilt—he had used that gift only for copying techniques and Raikiri. If Obito had lived… perhaps even he might have reached this kaleidoscope.
After all—Kakashi alone knew that behind Obito's clumsy exterior hid the instincts of a true genius.
On the battlefield below—
Shisui advanced, his Susanoo moving in perfect synchronization.
Though Susanoo had multiple forms, from skeletal to complete body, what Shisui now controlled was a half-armored manifestation—balanced in offense and defense, and standing at a height he could command smoothly.
But he knew his battered body could not sustain it for long. This had to end quickly.
With determination burning in his kaleidoscope eyes, he moved.
Whoosh!
The spiral sword whirled, its drill-like edge spinning furiously as it stabbed toward Duan.
Duan's eyes narrowed. This time, he did not dare meet the strike head-on.
He shifted, body flashing aside.
BOOM!
The spiral sword slammed into the ground, gouging a pit several meters deep. The violent force rippled outward in waves, tearing cracks through the earth and sending boulders flying.
"Back! Don't get caught in it!"
Fugaku's voice rang out, commanding the clansmen to retreat even farther. None dared to resist; the destructive power was terrifying.
But Duan did not retreat.
Instead, he lunged forward.
In his eyes, Shisui's speed had dropped drastically. The agility that once made him untouchable was dulled by Susanoo's bulk.
Finally, the tide had turned.
Now it was Duan's chance to strike.
