Chapter 94 - Chapter 93. Prisoner 9984

"You... you little brat..."

Staring at the familiar young man before him, Danzo's entire face beneath the bandages went slack with disbelief. "How...?"

"Allow me to formally introduce, my dear friend Danzo," Hanzo sauntered into the room with leisurely confidence, grinning widely. "This is Lord Hayashi Yuto, the leader of the Land of Waves."

"The leader of the Land of Waves?" Danzo's gaze flickered between Hanzo and Yuto by the window.

He was still in shock, his brain utterly incapable of processing such a complex scenario.

In simpler terms—he just couldn't wrap his head around it!

How in the world could Hayashi Yuto become the leader of the Land of Waves?

His parents and ancestors were all Konoha natives, with zero ties to the Land of Waves. And as far as anyone knew, he was still just a student at the Konoha Ninja Academy. What qualifications did he have to lead a nation? And have a subordinate like Hanzo the salamander.

"Now that our leader is present, my dear friend, why don't you tell us about this traitor you wanted dead?" Hanzo narrowed his eyes, chuckling. "I'm sure Leader Yuto and I would be happy to... assist in delivering justice."

"You bastards... you set me up, didn't you?"

Finally, it dawned on Danzo—he'd been played like a fool by these two all along. Taking a deep breath, he hissed coldly, "Hayashi Yuto... impressive. Answer me this—did you know all along that I'd walk right into your trap?"

Now that he thought about it, the boy hadn't shown the slightest surprise upon seeing him. Clearly, he'd anticipated Danzo's arrival in the Land of Waves.

"Indeed. I knew from the start that Lord Danzo would come here to meet me again," Yuto admitted calmly, without hesitation.

"But... why?" Danzo's brow furrowed beneath his bandages. "How could you be so certain?"

By all logic, after he and Orochimaru had lost their minds, the boy should've assumed they were dead!

"Simple. During our encounter two days ago, I noticed Orochimaru was carrying a sample of the Eight-Tails' chakra," Yuto explained with a faint smile. "With tailed beast chakra acting as a stabilizer, your sanity would've been restored by dawn the next day."

"You... you even knew that?!" Danzo was at a loss for words. They'd been completely outmaneuvered.

"Heh, our leader discovered two months ago that blending tailed beast chakra with Hollow energy creates temporary equilibrium," Hanzo added with a smirk. "Orochimaru's probably still patting himself on the back, thinking he's the first to uncover this little secret."

'Damn it all!'

Danzo sucked in a sharp breath. At this point, he was convinced the boy was an actual demon.

'Was there anything in this world he didn't know?'

"I'm well aware that Lord Danzo and Orochimaru aren't the types to accept defeat," Yuto continued. "To seek revenge against me, you'd naturally seek outside help. And from your perspective, the most logical ally would be Lord Hanzo."

"Your unwavering faith in me is truly touching, my dear friend Danzo!" Hanzo sighed dramatically.

'You scheming old bastard!'

Danzo's fingers twitched with the urge to strangle the man. Since when had this guy learned to act?

"As for Orochimaru... I assume he chose the Hidden Sand as his backup?" Yuto mused, his tone mild.

Danzo stiffened, his pupils contracting sharply.

"Your reaction confirms my guess," Yuto chuckled, glancing at Hanzo. "In five days, you'll take Lord Danzo's place and rendezvous with Orochimaru."

"Understood," Hanzo replied respectfully.

"Take my place?!" Danzo jabbed a finger at his own chest, utterly bewildered.

"Take a closer look. Who do you see standing before you?" Yuto said coolly.

Danzo turned—and came face-to-face with another version of himself. The doppelgänger gave a curt wave and spoke in a gravelly voice: "A pleasure. I am Shimura Danzo."

Flawless.

Every mannerism, every inflection—it was him, down to the last detail.

Even if he had a Sharingan active , Danzo couldn't have spotted a single discrepancy in Hanzo's transformation.

"What kind of ability is this?!" he snarled.

Before Yuto could answer, the office door swung open again.

A towering figure in a maid outfit strode in, first bowing respectfully to Yuto before turning to Danzo. In a smooth, mature woman's voice, she chirped, "Prisoner 9984, time to go~"

*Dark Underground Prison*

Danzo's eye twitched violently as he took in the grim, all-too-familiar surroundings.

"Well, well! 9984, back so soon?"

"Welcome back, buddy!"

Two guards escorted him down the dim corridor.

"Hey, inmates!" one guard barked, stopping before a cell. "Fresh meat for you. Play nice!"

"Ooh, a new cellmate?" a shrill voice piped up.

Stepping inside, Danzo realized the speaker wasn't even human—just a featureless white figure with no discernible gender.

Aside from this... thing, the cell housed a freak with a lopsided face and a shark-man with grayish-blue skin.

All three froze upon seeing him.

"Whoa, our new buddy's a porcupine?" The white creature (White Zetsu) leaned in, poking at the bony protrusions covering Danzo's body. "Man, this world keeps getting weirder!"

"Silence, you abomination!" Danzo roared. "You're the damn porcupine!"

"That voice... Danzo?" The lopsided man (Obito) narrowed his eyes.

"The Konoha elder?" The shark-man (Kisame) rubbed his chin. "What happened to you? Fresh out of some lab?"

"You know me?" Danzo studied them, nagged by the sense that the asymmetrical one looked familiar.

"Since we're all pals here—" White Zetsu slapped Danzo's back cheerfully. "—just know I run this block. Got a problem? I'll fix it! But in return..." He waggled his brows. "Vote for me in this month's Toilet Monitor election!"

"Toilet... Monitor?" Danzo echoed blankly.

"He guards the prison latrines," Kisame deadpanned.

Danzo's face spasmed. These weren't just inhuman—they were clinically insane.

Meanwhile outside the Yuto's Office

Yakushi Nono adjusted her collar, hesitating before knocking.

Yuto had summoned her, promising a "surprise." Her mind raced—was this an invitation to... a date?

Was her outfit appropriate? Should she have dressed nicer?

As she agonized, the door opened—revealing two women flanking Yuto.

Nonō's smile vanished instantly.

"Kushina? Lady Mikoto?"

"Long time no see, Nonō!"

"So good to see you again, Headmistress!"

The three women embraced warmly—until Nonō noticed the glaringly fresh hickeys on both women's necks.

Her gaze dropped to Yuto, who was studiously avoiding eye contact... and sporting an equally vivid love bite.

Nonō's expression iced over.
