Chapter 71 - Chapter 71. Long-Range Healing? That’s Not Mystic Palm Anymore!

*Old Senju Mansion – Living Room*

Tsunade sat there grinning smugly, watching the boy in front of her frown in deep concentration.

"Well, well," she drawled, "we've still got two and a half minutes left before our deadline. So, how's our little genius doing?"

Victory!. She could already taste it.

At first, she'd thought he might have some trick up his sleeve—why else would he agree to such a ridiculous bet? Turns out… nope. This was it.

Not surprising, really.

No human could possibly learn the Mystic Palm Technique from scratch in five minutes. Heck, even if a literal monster descended from the heavens, they couldn't pull that off.

"Yuto," Shizune said gently after a pause, "it's fine if you can't do it. Lady Tsunade and I wouldn't really force you to go through with something so… humiliating. Just think of it as a joke."

"Heh, yeah, sure," Tsunade smirked, eyes glinting wickedly. "Making a boy wear frilly lace teddy-bear briefs is a bit inhumane. I'll let you choose to wear… nothing at all instead!"

"Lady Tsunade!" Shizune shot her a glare. "How can you say something like that to a kid?!"

"Get your facts straight—he put that on the table as his own wager," Tsunade sniffed. "Never heard the saying 'no age limits in a casino'? I'm already letting him keep half his dignity!"

"Why half?!" Shizune groaned. "At least let him wear something!"

"Fine, fine. For your sake," Tsunade waved dismissively, "I'll let him keep… one sock! Hahaha!"

'One sock? Is my dignity worth one sock to you?'

Shizune's face was twitching so hard it was a miracle her jaw didn't fall off.

"Time's up?" Yuto asked, glancing at the wall clock.

"Forty seconds left. What's this, have you finally figured it out?" Tsunade's smile was predatory.

"It's… tricky. Might take me a few more minutes," Yuto sighed.

"Oh, keep pretending!" Tsunade scoffed. "Hurry up, night's young—time to pay your bet. And if you don't have teddy-bear lace briefs, I'll be generous and let you borrow Shizune's."

"I don't have any either!" Shizune snapped, glaring at her teacher. "What kind of adult wears teddy-bear… underwear?!"

"Oh, my bad," Tsunade nodded knowingly. "Yours are the blue-and-white striped ones. No problem, I'm fine with that design too."

"Lady Tsunade!" Shizune looked like she was one remark away from throwing the table.

"Winner?" Yuto repeated, puzzled.

"What, you planning to back out—"

Tsunade froze mid-sentence. In Yuto's palm bloomed a pure, luminous green light.

"You… you…"

Both women stared. Shizune's mouth hung open wide enough to fit an entire duck egg.

'The Mystic Palm Technique!'

As veteran medical-nin, they could instantly tell this was the real deal—steady, even, and perfectly controlled. Like a seasoned practitioner who'd been using it for years.

Impossible.

They both knew Yuto was a total beginner. Shizune had just been teaching him the theory minutes ago.

Which meant…

He'd actually learned and mastered an A-rank medical jutsu in under five minutes?!

"No, wait!" Tsunade snapped out of it, narrowing her eyes. "If you'd already learned it, why did you say you needed more time?"

"I was… working on the advanced version," Yuto replied with a small smile.

"What?" Tsunade blinked. "There's an advanced version? Since when?!"

"Well, I think the whole 'has-to-be-done-through-the-palms' limitation is a bit restrictive," Yuto said mildly.

Then—without warning—the green light in his hand floated free, drifted through the air, and sank into Tsunade's body.

Tsunade's eyes went wide. Shizune gasped so hard she nearly swallowed her own tongue.

"You… actually did it?"

"Not quite. Just an early-stage prototype," Yuto said calmly. "The perfect version in my head would be long-range, mass healing."

Both women exchanged blank, stunned stares.

'Long-range… mass healing?'

'Would that even be the Mystic Palm Technique anymore?'

Even Tsunade couldn't call him crazy now. Given the miracles he'd already pulled off… maybe—just maybe—he could really do it.

And if he did… she couldn't even imagine what that battlefield would look like.

Monster. That was the only word for him.

At this rate, the Hidden Leaf might soon have someone to rival—no, possibly surpass—her own legendary grandfather.

"Lady Tsunade."

Shizune's voice pulled her back to reality.

"…Looks like you lost, right?" she asked tentatively.

"Mind your own business!" Tsunade shot her a glare, then sighed. "But fine— I always pay my debts. Alright, brat, name your prize."

Yuto had been about to gallantly say "No need", when his blasted system popped up again.

[Choose]

[1. Say you want a piggyback ride around the house.]

[2. Ask Tsunade to let you test your 'Moral Expansion Jutsu' on her.]

[3. Take off your zebra-print underpants, make her wear them on her head, and call you "Daddy."]

'What kind of punishment play is this?!'

'Option 3? Absolutely not—he liked being alive, thank you.'

'Option 2? Forget it—Tsunade's existing "assets" were already over the top. Any "expansion" might qualify as a war crime.'

'Which left… Option 1.'

Keeping his face neutral, Yuto said, "I… I'd like a piggyback ride. Could you carry me around the house once?"

"Piggyback… ride?"

Shizune clapped a hand over her mouth in shock.

Tsunade's face went black as coal.

[Congratulations! You've obtained the Life Tree Seed.]

Relieved at the system's reward, Yuto quickly added, "I'm kidding,Tsunade sensei. Don't take it seriously."

BANG!

Tsunade slammed a palm onto the table. "Brat, you think I can't take a loss?! Get over here—NOW!"
