"Outrageous!" Koharu Utatane, his fellow advisor, seethed with fury, her eyes icy. "To desecrate the First Hokage's remains—Danzo has gone too far this time!"
In addition to the Project Proposal, the Hokage's desk was littered with other documents—Sharingan and First Hokage Cell Fusion Experiments, First Hokage Cell Transplant Subject Records, and so on.
Piles upon piles of folders sat stacked in a towering heap.
The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, didn't rush to condemn his old comrade's dirty deeds. Instead, his gaze shifted to the young man standing nearby. "You've done well, Yuto. Thanks to you, we finally see Danzo's actions for what they are."
"It was my duty, Lord Hokage," Yuto replied humbly, lowering his head.
"But how did you obtain this evidence, young man?" Koharu narrowed her eyes at him. "Did Danzo not notice?"
Yuto deliberately adopted a conflicted expression, hesitating before answering. "Lord Danzo wanted me to participate in his new experiment. These documents… were reference materials he provided."
"A new experiment?!"
"He still hasn't stopped?!"
Homura and Koharu looked horrified.
"Yuto," Hiruzen's voice darkened. "Do you know the details of Danzo's new experiment?"

Yuto barely managed to keep his expression neutral as the absurd options flashed before his eyes.

With a perfectly straight face, Yuto reached into his pocket and, unsurprisingly, pulled out a document.

Hiruzen skimmed the contents, a massive question mark materializing above his head. Then, upon closer inspection, his entire body stiffened as if struck by lightning.

'Can I refuse the reward? Can the missions just… stop happening?"
Yuto sighed deeply.
This godforsaken system always popped up at the worst possible times. Absolute menace.
"…Hiruzen? What's wrong?"
"What kind of depraved scheme is this?!"
Koharu and Homura grew impatient—their old friend's reaction was clearly not normal.
It took a solid minute before Hiruzen finally snapped out of his daze. His cheek twitched as he placed the document on the desk, taking a long drag from his pipe. "See for yourselves."
The two advisors leaned in, read the contents—and instantly petrified.
"Yuto, you've done well today," Hiruzen said, ignoring his shell-shocked comrades. He looked the young man in the eye. "Keep Danzo's secrets to yourself for now."
"Understood."
A flicker of guilt passed through Yuto's expression—just enough for Hiruzen to notice.
The Third Hokage sighed like a kindly old man and patted his shoulder reassuringly. "Don't overthink it. You're a good kid. I know you still feel indebted to Danzo for his guidance."
"Lord Hokage, I—"
"No need to explain. I understand. This isn't betrayal—it's redemption. Not just for yourself, but for Danzo too. If he's allowed to continue down this path, imagine how many innocent lives would be ruined?"
"…Yes." Yuto nodded slowly, as if convinced.
"Go rest." Hiruzen smiled. "Spend time with your friends, relax. I assure you—Danzo and Root won't trouble you anymore."
"Thank you, Lord Hokage." With a respectful bow, Yuto turned and left.
"What a fine young man," Koharu mused, watching him go. "Even after being forced into this, he still cares for Danzo."
"Indeed." Hiruzen nodded. "I think he deserves a proper mentor—someone who can nurture his talents further."
"Got anyone in mind?"
"Hmm… What about Kakashi?"
"Not a bad choice. Let's try him first."
Koharu agreed, then glanced back at the "Proposal for the Enlargement of Male Morality Across the Shinobi World" on the desk. Her eye twitched violently.
"I still don't get it. What was Danzo thinking? What's the point of this?!"
Enlarging the "morality" (cough) of every man in the shinobi world—and then what?! What's the end goal here?!
Hiruzen rubbed his temples, equally baffled.
"Just what mental state was Danzo in when he wrote this? Has he finally lost it?"
"He did it for confidence," Homura declared solemnly.
"…Confidence?" Koharu blinked.
"You don't know this, but Danzo has always been deeply insecure."
Homura sighed, launching into his analysis. "He isn't actually injured—so why the bandages? Why does he skip every major village event? Have you ever considered the deeper reasons?"
"…Insecurity?" Hiruzen ventured.
"Exactly." Homura nodded gravely. "It started when you became Hokage, Hiruzen. All these years, he's been competing with you—and losing at every turn. The accumulated frustration must've driven him to this… extreme solution."
"But how does "enlarging morality" relate to confidence?" Koharu frowned.
"If every man's 'morality' becomes as prominent as a woman's… and Danzo remains the only normal one…" Homura paused dramatically. "Then, naturally, he would become the most self-assured man in the entire shinobi world!"
"…So that's his plan?!" Hiruzen's eyes widened.
"Danzo… you truly thought this through," Koharu murmured, impressed.
"HAHAHA! OH MY GOD—"
In a hidden underground base, Kushina was howling with laughter, slapping Yuto's thigh repeatedly. "What kind of alien logic is this?! How did they actually buy such a ridiculous plan?!"
