After washing up and grabbing a quick breakfast, Jason jumped into his brand-new Lamborghini Revuelto, cruised out of his upscale Lakeview Hills residence, and headed back to campus. The morning sun glinted off the metallic paint, drawing a few curious stares along the way.
He was dressed in a fitted Henley and jeans—casual, but sharp. His frame had changed overnight: broader shoulders, tighter waist, and a physique that looked like he belonged in a fitness magazine. He carried himself with a quiet confidence now, and even he could feel the difference.
Just as he parked near the student center, his phone buzzed. It was a message from Holly Larson.
Holly:"Back on campus yet?"
Jason:"Yeah, just got in."
Holly:"Lunch at the student union? I should give you back your car keys before I lose them."
Jason:"Sure thing. See you at noon."
At lunch, Jason's three roommates, tagged along to the student union. The moment they walked in, they spotted Holly waving from across the room.
"Over here! I grabbed you a plate already," she called out with a smile.
A ripple of surprise ran through the nearby tables. A few guys openly gawked. Josh almost dropped his soda.
"Hold up," One of his friend whispered to Derek and Matt. "Did Holly Larson just… save him a seat and get him food? Since when are they this close?"
Another one whistled low. "That's Holly Larson. Smart, gorgeous, total campus queen. She cooks for you, man, you've won life."
"Bro, tell me you've been holding out on us. Secret dating tips or something? Enlighten the roomies."
Jason smirked. "It's just lunch, guys. You're making it sound like a wedding proposal. Go grab your own food."
"Just lunch," Matt muttered darkly. "Yeah, right."
Jason headed over to Holly's table. As he sat down, she gave him a curious look.
"Jason… did you hit the gym all night or something? Your shoulders look… different."
Before he could reply, she reached out and squeezed his shoulder—only to realize it wasn't padding or loose fabric. That was solid muscle.
Jason kept a straight face. "Must be the lighting."
In truth, he knew Holly well enough to guess what she was thinking. She was competitive, independent, not easily impressed by looks alone. But if she ever saw him shirtless… yeah, that might change the game.
She handed back his car keys and nudged the plate toward him. "I remembered you like steak. Got you some sides too—salad, veggies, carbs. Balanced meal."
Jason grinned. "Perfect. Thanks, Holly. You always have great taste."
The two of them ate together, side by side. From the corner of his eye, Jason could see people whispering. A couple guys at the next table looked like they were ready to flip the table in jealousy.
And then, three minutes later, another figure appeared.
Quinn, the campus beauty known for her cool and elegant vibe, walked up holding a bottle of soy milk. She smiled at Jason—until her eyes landed on Holly sitting right next to him.
For half a second, Quinn froze. The smile faltered, but only briefly.
She set the bottle down in front of Jason. "I ordered an extra soy milk by mistake. Thought you might like it."
Nearby, one guy muttered under his breath, "You've got to be kidding me. First Holly, now Quinn? How's this dude pulling both campus goddesses at once?"
Jason just picked up the bottle, smiling faintly.
Inside, though? He was already wondering how much trouble this was about to cause.
Even though Holly Larson and Quinn both smiled and nodded politely at each other, everyone around could feel the tension in the air, like the smell of gunpowder before a storm.
The guys at the nearby tables exchanged looks, grinning like they were watching a live episode of a drama.
"Oh, this is gonna blow up," one of them muttered under his breath. "Jason's been walking a tightrope, and now it's about to snap. When these two queens see the real him, he's done."
But just as they thought Jason would start panicking, stammering excuses, he leaned back casually, smiled, and said,
"Thanks for stopping by. Why don't you both sit down and eat with me?"
Like it was nothing.
The guys blinked.
What the hell?
This man had no shame.
Even if they weren't officially dating, even if things hadn't crossed that line yet… wasn't he worried about the misunderstanding? About getting slapped with a plate of fries or something?
Quinn tilted her head slightly, studying Jason like she was trying to read the hidden meaning behind his words.
That's when Megan walked over.
She had just finished her meal a few tables away when she noticed the strange energy in the room. Practically everyone was staring in one direction.
Following their eyes, she saw Holly Larson and Quinn sitting near Jason and raised her brows in surprise.
From the other side, one girl whispered to another, "Whoa… since when does Jason have this kind of connection with Holly and Quinn?"
One of her friend smirked. "Come on, he's been killing it lately. Girls like that are bound to notice."
she hesitated. "Should we still give him the chicken tenders you made for him? Might be awkward now."
Why not? They're not his girlfriends. Nobody's got a claim on him yet.
So Megan didn't hesitate. She walked right up, carrying a plate of sizzling chicken tenders, and set it down in front of Jason with a smile.
"This is my favorite—try it."
She said it so naturally, like she was just sharing her favorite dish with a classmate.
Then, with perfect calm, Megan exchanged polite nods with both Holly and Quinn.
The two girls smiled back, but both shot Jason quick side-eyes.
Jason? Completely unbothered. He picked up a fork, cut off a piece of chicken, and said with a grin,
"Thanks, Megan. Gotta say… this one tastes way better than the usual cafeteria stuff."
The guys watching from the side were losing their minds.
"Bro… this isn't two girls. It's three now. THREE."
"No way. This guy's breaking all the laws of physics."
"He's handsome, smart, good with money—sure, fine. But you can't just sit there like you own the place with three girls at once. That's illegal."
Their jealousy was practically glowing red.
Just then, his friends walked in with their trays.
They saw Jason at the table, surrounded by Holly, Quinn, and Megan, and froze.
All three of them turned to each other, dumbfounded.
"Is this dude for real?" one of them muttered. "Three of them? THREE?"
They all suddenly wanted to strangle Jason, this guy who made everyone else look like background characters in his story.
