A long time ago, when nothing existed a [Great Will] was born. The moment it gained its first thought, it shattered the nothingness along with itself. It brought about the era called Chaos.
In the chaos era, violent chaos qi and disordered laws clashed randomly. Nothing important existed for trillions of years, until finally 3000 laws had formed out of completely random combination. They withstood the repeated testing and were thus important.
A remaining fragment of the [Great Will] united the 3000 laws and became the Great Dao.
The Great Dao was born silently and nothing celebrated its birth, but this was the beginning of everything.
The Great Dao's Will was to perfect and improve the laws from chaos. It could only verify new laws and improve the laws in the only way it knew how. To test them, to have them clash and verify themselves against each other and be proven stable.
It did not have a mission to create the world or build great things. It only cared about perfecting new laws from the chaos.
And so, it created 3,000 great beings with the 3,000 laws gathered from chaos. These beings were gigantic in size, so big that they would tower over galaxies. They were given forms which were tested to be optimal for the laws they held and companion chaos treasure which gave them new ways to think and prove their laws.
These great beings were later known as chaos demon gods. They were terrifying titans which were born with a cultivation level equivalent of a saint or Hunyuan Dalou.
They were given great gifts from the Great Dao, and the Great Dao was selfless because it only cared about adding new proofs of the laws to itself. It would test these chaos demon gods and verify the laws they cultivated and proved. It did not have any want to control them, it wanted only the laws to be proven.
It could be compared to a powerful computer which sent out a kinds of genetic algorithms to find the best answer to a problem. If things failed, it would take what worked and start again.
The Chaos did not have years, but if it did then tens of trillions of years would have passed as the chaos demon gods cultivated their Dao's. There was not much innovation among them, as 2,999 chaos demon gods only cultivated the laws they had been given.
Except for 1 chaos demon god named Pangu.
The Great Dao greatly favored this chaos demon god born from the Chaos Blue Lotus. It gave him a jade butterfly with all 3,000 Dao's recorded on it and a powerful Axe engraved with the laws of Strength. Originally, this chaos demon god might have only cultivated the laws of Strength it was given and it wouldn't be so favored by the Great Dao. But instead, Pangu used inheritance of Strength law he was given and deduced a new ambitious law: The Law of Power.
The Law of Power was to break all laws with strength, this meant it needed to incorporate the understanding of all 3,000 Dao's. The Great Dao sensed this ambitious and good intention from Pangu's mind and responded with great favor. The Jade Butterfly was given to him and his Pangu Axe was slowly engraved with his new Law of Power.
This was the great reward for Pangu creating his own path and verifying a new law for the Great Dao!
Pangu's body was naturally the strongest among the chaos demon gods. As originally the Chaos Demon God of strength, his foundation was the most perfect and he never gave up improving on his strengths. His body grew stronger as his realm grew higher.
In the end, Pangu cultivated himself to a pinnacle just under the Great Dao. After being given such generous companion treasures, he never needed to fight much for his Dao. And even if he did, his body was the strongest among them all.
Until one day, Pangu realized a way to elevate his law to the same level as the Great Dao itself. To be precise, its to transcend his Law of Power into something beyond a mere Law. If he succeeded, he could call himself the Pangu Dao because all 3,000 laws would have been placed under the law of Power and he could transform the 3,000 laws freely.
This attempt was called 'Opening the Sky'.
9 Axe Slashes, containing everything he had to split the Chaos and perform a 'Shattering' like the [Great Will] had done before the age of Chaos. He would no longer be under the Great Dao after his success, but become a new Way and under his way would be this new world he was creating.
Unfortunately, things would not be easy for him. The entire chaos itself along with the chaos demon gods came to stop him. If he shattered the chaos, their own paths would be blocked as everything they had cultivated would be changed as the laws change with the era. A fierce fight broke out, and Pangu was greatly wounded during the fight.
But all 3,000 chaos demon gods were killed by him. His Pangu axe shattered into 3 and his Jade Butterfly Broke into pieces. The Chaos Blue Lotus that birthed him also shattered while defending him.
He was exhausted and wounded. And the world he was trying to create was falling apart, being crushed under the backlash of remaining chaos. He had to manually step in and hold up the sky with his body and arms. As the strength demon god he could hold on for a while, but it never seemed to let up.
Millions of years passed and Pangu was almost exhausted, he was on the verge of success. But then failed.
In the end, he was too wounded and couldn't remain alive to finish his mission. He was half a step Dao-realm at the moment of his death.
He had destroyed the Chaos and killed the chaos demon gods. He had bet it all but failed to achieve his path. But at the moment of failure, he didn't feel resentment. He smiled confidently at knowing he gave his all.
"Great Dao above, I Pangu want to transform myself into all things in the world." He said in a booming voice like thunder.
And then, the Great Dao acted and transformed Pangu's powerful body into all things, making up for the defects of this new world. At the end, a great act was completed and the Great Dao sent down merits to reward Pangu. He had truly verified his law to the limit of a Dao and created a place superior to the chaos to verify new laws. But unfortunately, he couldn't accept these merits as he was no longer alive.
Instead, the parts of Pangu all over the new world absorbed some of these merits.
And this is only the beginning of the start of a new world, but at this moment an alien human soul arrived in this world.
It found itself inside a piece of blue jade at the center of a large mountain.
