With him down there, all the tendrils stopped what they were doing and immediately focused on him.
"Oh yeah, this is definitely a very bad idea," he said. He scanned around for anything that could be of some use to him, but there was nothing, just rows and rows of eggs hanging from the ceiling.
He looked at the tentacles, a cold look in his eyes. "I guess we are doing this," he said and lunged forward, his feet carrying him as fast as possible, with a sword in one hand and his gauntlet ready to go in the other.
Ten tendrils all locked on him, the first one shot, cutting through the air fast. He dodged to the side as it struck the ground and blasted a small crater there.
He pushed forward as another came. He dodged, and then another, and another. He managed to get past five in a row. The tendrils seemed to understand that attacking one at a time wouldn't cut it, so they attacked, three tendrils ripping through the air at a speed that would be considered crazy.
