Chapter 5 - HARISTSU

The whole world stood frozen in shock. From the glowing skyscrapers of Tokyo to the worn steps of Rome's parliament, every screen was lit up with the same scene. Chaos played out like a wild symphony, a trembling piano note building into a powerful crescendo of strings. And right in the eye of the storm him.

Elowen Blackwell's voice cut through the static on live TV, sharp and precise, yet you could hear the awe hiding behind her words.

"This is Elowen Blackwell, reporting live from England… on what's now being called a Category-Zero Sovereign Override worldwide."

Behind her, clips flickered like a fever dream: a girl in navy blue surrounded by armed officers, their rifles shaking. A shadow on a rooftop, a mask catching the light like a second face, violet flames burning in his eyes.

"In the last hour," Elowen said, "an event shattered international law, broke all chain-of-command rules… and unleashed powers thought to be pure legend."

Then came the name.

IRUKA AOKI

Codename: The Speed Demon. Feared by many as: Ghost Hunter.

"At exactly 1900 hours IST… the world reached its breaking point."

As she spoke, a corrupted document flashed an eerie black seal glowing:

BLACK VEIL REBELLION – Article XIII – Subsection Zero.

"Article XIII… dismissed as conspiracy for years. Tonight, it was real. And enforced."

Back to live footage. Cities holding their breath. Hashtags exploding.

Phones shaking in millions of hands. A masked voice echoed through the air:

"This mask isn't hiding me. It's holding me back.

If this tears remember the disaster has occurred .

On a rooftop scorched by smoke and gunfire, Iruka stepped through the haze like judgment itself. The wind seemed to bow as he moved.

"I was the only reason you're alive," he said coldly, eyes locked on Callum. "Now I'll be the only reason you die."

He dropped like a shadow with weight. In a blink, he landed

CRACK!

an officer's spine snapped with deadly precision. Screams filled the air.

"SHOOT HIM! KILL HIM!" Callum screamed from above, but panic made no aim.

A gunshot rang out. The bullet spun but reality bent. A female officer fell in a splash of red. Somehow, she took Iruka's place, her eyes wide in shock even as they closed forever.

Silence.

Then pure rage.

Iruka's foot rose

THWACK

a cheekbone shattered. A storm of blows followed, fists faster than thought. A final uppercut sent a man flying to the rooftop where Callum trembled, watching his command fall.

beneath a bruised evening sky, Callum landed hard on the pavement, trying to mask his fear with arrogance.

"So… I guess you like challenges, huh?"

Iruka turned his head. Slowly. The look in his eyes wasn't rage. It was judgment.

"At least try to be a threat I can't defeat."

Callum smirked, falsely brave.

"Get ready to selfie with me while your body's dead."

They charged.
