Chapter 16 - The Rampaging Ghoul

Swords of Justice

Chapter 16: (The Rampaging Ghoul)

The lady refused to accept defeat, so she began screaming and cursing at Hamza and Princess Hasna, shouting: "This isn't over yet!"

Muawiya: "It's over, my lady. We were your strongest men, and now there's no one left. It's finished."

The Lady (smirking): "No… there is still one."

Muawiya: "What do you mean?"

"The ghoul," the lady said coldly.

Every member of the gang froze in shock at her words. Muawiya tried to calm her down:

Muawiya: "No, that's enough. We should join them. They are good people. Even though we fought with the intent to kill, they kept their word and spared us."

The Lady (furious): "Silence! Bring out the ghoul!"

No one dared move. Deputy Salman whispered to Fatah: "What's the story behind this ghoul?"

Fatah (terrified): "He's no man… he's a monster that slaughters any living being before him. He's the strongest among us."

Muawiya (to the Lady): "But didn't we agree to execute him?"

Jalal (shocked): "Execute him?!"

Muawiya: "Yes. He killed two of our own after finishing his portion of meat. That wasn't enough for him—he devoured them as well. That's why we chained him in iron shackles, awaiting execution."

The Lady (coldly): "So be it. I'll use him one last time."

Muawiya (firmly): "He's too dangerous! He'll kill us all!"

Ignoring Muawiya's warnings, the Lady summoned Dani, one of her weakest men.

Dani (shaking): "H-how may I serve you, my lady?"

The Lady: "Are you deaf, Dani? Didn't you hear us? Bring the ghoul, now!"

Dani: "But… he might kill me."

The Lady: "Hmph. You sly coward… If you bring him, I'll give you five gold coins."

Muawiya (struggling to rise, wounded from his fight with Hamza): "No, Dani! Don't listen to her!"

But Dani sneered and said with a greedy grin: "I'll do anything for gold."

He rushed toward the massive cage in the center of the village. Inside was a monstrous figure—an enormous human-like body, chained with heavy iron shackles weighed down by spiked balls.

Dani (unlocking the cage): "Alright, ghoul. I'll set you free. Now obey the Lady's orders."

As Dani dreamed of the gold, the ghoul swung the iron ball chained to his arm, crushing Dani's head against the ground like a bug. A deafening roar followed.

Muawiya (brandishing his daggers, warning Hamza): "Draw your sword—he shows no mercy!"

The ghoul burst out from the crowd, swinging his chains, striking down everyone in his path.

Fatah, using his kangaroo-style stance, stood beside Muawiya. The two charged at the beast, but the ghoul lashed out with his iron ball, sending them both flying and continued toward Hamza.

Hamza (to himself): "This isn't what they said. He's thinking… he's using his shackles as a weapon. He's more dangerous than I thought. I must kill him here and now."

Before Hamza could fully draw his sword, the ghoul whipped the chain around Hamza's leg, yanked him in, and slammed a crushing fist into his face, hurling him across the ground.

The Lady laughed hysterically: "Die! And once he's done with you, I'll finally see that princess torn to pieces!"

The ghoul ignored Hamza and charged at Princess Hasna. But Jalal stepped in front of her, defiant.

Jalal: "Don't forget—I'm still here!"

He drew his sword, ready to face the monster, while Deputy Salman pulled the princess away.

The ghoul hurled his iron ball, but Jalal managed to cut through the chain, sending the spiked ball flying into the face of one of the gang members, killing him instantly.

Jalal (shocked): "I… I didn't mean to! I killed him by mistake!"

Distracted, Jalal left his guard open. The ghoul struck him with the other iron ball, smashing him in the stomach and dropping him to the ground in agony.

Now the ghoul turned his attention back to the terrified princess, chasing her as she hid behind Salman. He raised his massive fist to crush them both—when suddenly, someone grabbed the chain from behind.

It was Hamza.

With immense strength, Hamza yanked the chain, dragging the beast backward. As the ghoul stumbled toward him, Hamza launched a devastating punch to his face, snapping the chain and hurling the monster away.

Hamza (with resolve): "Take that, you bastard. I've returned your punch."

The ghoul crashed to the ground before the Lady. Enraged, she cursed at him:

The Lady: "You donkey! You dog! You useless mule! How dare you lose?!"

Muawiya (crawling, weak): "No, my lady! Don't provoke him!"

But the ghoul had had enough. Fueled by rage, he rose and turned on her. The Lady panicked, collapsing to the ground and begging:

The Lady: "Stay back! Don't kill me—I'm your mistress!"

The monster ignored her pleas, lifting his chain to deliver the killing blow.

But then—Princess Hasna broke free from Salman's grasp and ran to the Lady, wrapping her arms around her in desperation.

Princess Hasna: "I'll protect you!"

And thus, both the Lady and the princess now faced death together at the hands of the rampaging ghoul.
