Chapter 174: Become Light
Though sent flying by a sneak attack, Typhon quickly recovered. Rallying himself, all the eyes on his one hundred heads locked onto the suddenly appeared Giant of Light.
An opponent of equal caliber.
Typhon grew cautious, but deep down, he still didn't take it seriously.
In the past, he had boasted of enslaving the gods and taking Hera as his wife. Even Zeus was once defeated, his tendons torn out (albeit through a sneak attack). He had sent the entirety of Olympus fleeing in disarray—what a glorious time that was.
Therefore, Typhon's perception was still stuck in the time before he was sealed, and he believed himself to be invincible.
"Now that I have regained my freedom, it can only mean one thing," Typhon grunted in a deep voice.
"That old fossil Zeus is no longer around. What do you remaining mortals, you feeble gods, have to fight me with? The Celestial Realm will be mine to rule, and the Underworld will belong to me. Mortals and gods alike will become my slaves—"
Pow!
Before he could finish speaking, a radiant fist, crackling with lightning and golden light, had already slammed into his body.
Typhon was caught off guard, partly because he hadn't finished his threats and partly because he hadn't expected his opponent to be so fast. With no time to react, he was struck by the punch, and his massive body staggered backward clumsily.
"Roar!" Typhon was furious.
Have modern powerhouses no sense of honor? Attacking before the trash-talk session is even over?
Seething with rage, Typhon swept his massive arm with devastating force. But Orin Vale blocked with his left arm, parrying the blow with a brilliant flash of golden light, while simultaneously blasting him with a powerful right hook.
Struck by another heavy blow, Typhon retreated again. The excruciating pain of the impact and the invading light energy seared his internal organs.
This power and speed far exceeded Typhon's expectations. Horrified, he no longer dared to underestimate his opponent in the slightest. With a great roar, his hundred dragon heads attacked at once. Their long necks writhed like snakes as countless fanged mouths snapped and gnashed at Orin Vale.
Electric arcs burst from Orin Vale's body, and time seemed to slow down in his eyes. The hundred dragon heads, striking so fast they became a web of afterimages, immediately slowed in his vision, their attack routes and trajectories becoming perfectly clear.
He dodged nimbly, weaving through the gaps between the crisscrossing attacks. Bypassing every dragon head, he closed the distance and unleashed a fierce hook punch at the humanoid head of Typhon himself.
Though Typhon had a hundred dragon heads, only the central one was humanoid. This punch deformed its face and shattered its bones, causing it to spew a mouthful of titan blood.
The collision of immense power and the resulting energy bursts continued to shatter the very fabric of the Fallen Realm. With the impact of each punch, countless things within the void were annihilated. Every blow seemed to reverberate in the hearts of everyone within the space.
"A threat. I knew these aliens were a threat," Luthor muttered continuously.
Diana was also pleasantly surprised. "I had no idea he was actually this strong?"
Euryale shivered beside them.
If before she had harbored even the slightest thought of avenging her sister, that last lingering notion had been utterly extinguished by those few punches.
On second thought, even though they were three sisters, she felt she wasn't *that* close to her sister. Getting revenge... really didn't seem worth the trouble.
"You will pay the price for this!"
Typhon roared, his divine power erupting into a terrifying storm! All his heads fanned out in every direction, the gale forming a net constructed from a thousand blades.
Orin Vale pulled back to evade, flying up into the air. But the wind seemed to amplify his opponent's speed. Two of the dragon heads, which had already locked onto his trajectory, opened their mouths. A terrifying blast of black energy burst forth as if to shatter the sky itself, engulfing Ultraman's ascending body with unparalleled might!
All of Typhon's dragon heads hissed in unison, a roar that was part demonstration of power, part cheer of triumph.
However, in just an instant, the cheering came to an abrupt halt.
Because all one hundred dragon heads immediately widened their eyes in disbelief as they saw that the Ultraman they had just hit had turned into two.
No, it wasn't just two.
Then two became four, four became eight, eight became sixteen...
A full circle of Ultramen descended from all directions, forming a squadron. With a crisp, unified cry, they assumed their combat stances, completely surrounding Typhon.
Ah, this...
Faced with this encirclement, Typhon froze instantly.
He could never have imagined he would face a moment like this.
He was actually starting to miss Zeus...
Having nearly drained the critically-wounded sun god, Orin Vale was now in a far more powerful state than even after taking that star cannon from Old Bu.
The main limiting factor for an Ultraman's abilities had always been energy. With sufficient energy, the upper limit of any given skill's power was bound only by the limits of imagination.
In the next moment, every Ultraman in the circle began to radiate streams of azure electric serpents.
Typhon, with his rich combat experience, had already recognized it.
This was the telltale sign that this freak before him was about to unleash that terrifying, super-high-speed, no-cooldown flash ability.
And now, similar electric arcs flickered over every single clone.
It was as if to say.
"Now, take a guess... can these clones of mine use Mach Movement, or not?"
No prize for the correct answer.
A relentless series of blows followed—a righteous group beatdown delivered at high speed via Mach Movement.
The Fallen Realm finally buckled under the strain, the entire domain crumbling and falling apart. Nearly everything within the space was annihilated as rifts tore open in every direction.
The others had all scrambled into the rifts, returning to reality just before the entire magical space completely collapsed.
Of course, exiting through different rifts led to different corresponding locations in the real world.
In the midst of the beating, Typhon also tumbled into a rift, landing in a desolate, uninhabited wilderness.
When he raised his head, he saw that Orin Vale had already surrounded him from every direction, each clone striking a perfectly uniform cross-hand pose.
A dazzling radiance swirled between their hands.
Multiple Spacium Rays!
An entire circle of Spacium Rays fired in a surrounding ring, striking Typhon at the very same instant.
The great monster threw its heads back and roared as endless light and heat tore through its skin, blasting into its body with the scorching heat of the sun.
The light energy spread rapidly, bursting forth from the mouths and nostrils of the hundred dragon heads and lancing out from every fissure in its body. As countless cracks spread like a spiderweb, an intensely radiant light filled its entire being.
At the end of his life, what surfaced in Typhon's mind was not the fear of death.
But rather... It's finally over.
BOOM!
In a brilliant explosion, a vast plume of black mist shot toward the sky, only to be assimilated into an azure radiance within moments of its release.
Typhon... became Light.
