Chapter 16 - The Trap...

The scene shifts back to Aman, Kabir, Rohit, and Rishi, who were locked in a fierce battle against the devil.

The devil suddenly launched a powerful punch toward Aman.Instead of blocking, Aman punched back.

Both fists collided.

The sheer force of the impact tore Aman's sleeves apart, dark energy rippling through the air.The devil, however, stood unharmed.

The devil smirked."You've got guts, human. I'll remember you… even after I kill you."

Aman smiled calmly."Are you joking? I'm not someone who dies that easily."

The devil laughed."I like that confidence, human. But remember—here, I am the only powerful one."

With that, the devil unleashed a relentless barrage of attacks toward Aman.

Rishi continued filming the entire fight, his hands trembling.Nearby, Rohit stood beside Kabir, who was sitting against a wall, exhausted.

All three of them watched in fear. They knew they didn't stand a chance in a battle at this level.

Each of the devil's attacks was overflowing with dark energy.

Aman barely managed to dodge them, moving on instinct alone.Whenever he saw even the smallest opening, he struck back.

This only enraged the devil further.

"You're really starting to piss me off," the devil growled.

Suddenly, he summoned a group of dark creatures.

Some of the creatures rushed toward Aman, while the others turned toward Kabir, Rohit, and Rishi.

At that moment, Kabir pushed himself up and grabbed another stick lying nearby.

Rohit instantly understood what Kabir was planning.Without hesitation, he handed over his Rakshasutra.

Kabir wrapped both his own and Rohit's Rakshasutra tightly around the stick.

He tightened his grip and smirked."Bring it on."

Kabir had trained in martial arts during his childhood—and using a stick as a weapon was something he knew very well.

Aman was now surrounded by dark creatures, with the devil standing calmly behind them.

At the same time, Kabir was fighting off the creatures that had rushed toward him, swinging his stick skillfully.

The devil watched Kabir for a moment and smiled to himself.

That human is nothing to me, he thought.I could kill him and the other two instantly…

His gaze slowly shifted toward Aman.

But this one… he's the real problem. He's far beyond human limits.

I must kill him first.

With a sharp gesture, the devil ordered the creatures to attack Aman.

As the creatures lunged forward, Aman effortlessly dodged their attacks. He countered with a punch—his fist wrapped in Rakshasutra.

The creature vanished into dust on impact.

One by one, Aman struck them down, each creature turning into dust the moment his blows landed.

Then Aman laughed and shouted,

"Is that all you can do? Just sending these creatures because you're scared…"

He stared straight at the devil.

"Scared of a human?"

"You're nothing but a coward."

Aman's words echoed in the devil's mind, stabbing deeper than any weapon.

The devil snapped.

Fueled by rage and humiliation, he let out a deafening roar, shaking the auditorium.

Scene shifts to Dev, running through an empty corridor of the school.

The silence confused him—the echoes made it impossible to tell where the devil was.

But suddenly…

The roar echoed again.

Dev stopped.

A slow smile formed on his face."Looks like the devil wants to meet me," he said calmly."Then I'm coming… just wait

Scene shifts back.

The devil was still roaring in rage.

Kabir glanced at Aman and said,"Hey bro… looks like you really pissed him off."

"Will you be alright?"

Aman didn't take his eyes off the devil.

"Yes," he replied firmly."I'll be fine. You all better stay back."

The devil, now consumed by rage, charged at Aman and launched a powerful blow.

Aman blocked it with his fist.

But the devil wasn't done.

He began punching Aman repeatedly, each strike heavier than the last.

Aman managed to tolerate the assault, blocking again and again—but after a few blows, his arms began to ache. The power behind those punches was on a completely different level.

Just then—

Kabir leaped forward and attacked with his stick.

But the devil, blinded by rage, blocked the strike effortlessly and grabbed Kabir—throwing him along with the stick straight toward the auditorium chairs.

"KABIR!" Rohit shouted.

Rishi, still recording with his shaking hands, shouted too as both of them rushed toward Kabir.

For a brief moment, the devil's attention shifted.

Aman noticed the opening.

He stepped in and punched the devil with all his strength.

The punch wasn't strong enough to send the devil flying—but it was enough to force him back a few steps.

Now the devil was furious.

Aman wiped a bit of sweat from his face as he looked at the terrifying expression on the devil's face.

Oops… he thought.

But he didn't let his confidence fall.

The devil roared and launched a devastating attack toward Aman.

Aman knew it instantly.

If I block this… both my arms will break.

Still, he raised his hands and took a blocking stance.

The devil rushed forward, the attack moments from landing—

Suddenly, a familiar voice echoed through the auditorium:

"Hey… stop it, you dumbo."

All of them turned their gaze toward the voice.

From Rishi's camera POV, Dev could be seen standing at the entrance of the auditorium, as a crack in the roof allowed moonlight to fall directly on him.

Rishi shouted,"Wow, bro… what a god-level entry! That was a really good shot!"

Dev blushed."R-really? I'm not that good at this stuff…"

Everyone except Dev and Rishi made an awful face, thinking the same thing—

Seriously, bro? In a situation like this?

Even Kabir, who was unconscious and them came back from unconsciousness thought the same.

Even the devil thought the same thing.

Rohit asked Dev,"We thought you were killed back there."

Dev sighed and thought to himself,Of course… why would you ever think something good.

Then Dev said,"It was just my shoulder that got dislocated."

As he spoke, he twisted his shoulder back into place.

"Nothing else."

Aman stared at him and asked,"Then why are you here? You should run!"

Dev replied in a calm voice,"I'm here to save you all."

He paused, then added, pointing toward the devil,"Especially him."

Aman looked confused.

Dev continued,"Not you, dumbo—that guy…"

He pointed again.

"The one you're controlling—my dumbo friend… Sameer."

Dev said, slowly walking toward the devil,"You know what friends do when they're in danger…?"

The devil didn't reply—he just watched him silently.

Dev continued,"Obviously, how would you know? You're dumb."

He shrugged."Anyway, if you don't know the answer, I'll tell you."

He stopped a few steps away.

"Friends help each other, instead of thinking only about themselves. That's why I'm here—to save my friends… and the friend you're controlling."

By saying this, Dev stood right in front of the devil, unflinching, staring straight into his eyes.

Rohit whispered to Kabir,"Should we stop him…?"

Kabir replied softly,"No. Let him cook."

Dev spoke again,"I'm calling you dumb. Don't you want to know why?"

The devil still said nothing.

Dev smirked."First—because you chose the dumbest person to possess. And someone who controls a dumb person… is also dumb."

The devil's aura darkened.

"Second—you attacked me and left without checking whether I was dead or not. That's a pretty dumb mistake."

The devil's expression twisted with rage as Dev kept mocking him.

Dev added calmly,"You're not just dumb… you're scared. Weak from the inside. Just a powerful idiot."

Rishi shouted,"What a dialogue, bro! You nailed it—keep cooking!"

Kabir whispered urgently to Rohit,"Do something, bro… otherwise we'll be cooked."

Rohit muttered under his breath,"Bro, we already rage-baited him. You're just making it worse."

Dev thought,Huh? What? Why didn't you tell me earlier?

He glanced at the devil's face—pure rage.

Dev cleared his throat."Looks like I said a bit too much."

He turned around."I should leave."

The devil finally spoke,"Shouldn't you save your friends?"

Dev said,"My friends are grown-ups. They can protect themselves."

He started walking faster toward the entrance.

The devil replied coldly,"Wait. Don't you want to hear my reply, human?"

Dev stopped for a second.

Off-screen, he smirked—the devil couldn't see it.

"For that…" Dev said,"you'll have to catch me first."

Dev ran out of the auditorium.

The devil smiled, dark and proud."Fine. I won't catch you…"

His voice dropped.

"I'll kill you."

After Dev left, the devil became even more excited with rage and charged forward in a monstrous way, destroying everything that came in his path.

As soon as the devil disappeared, Aman said,"Everyone, let's go after them."

Aman was the only one who had noticed Dev's smirk before leaving.

Everyone nodded and immediately began chasing them.

Dev was running through the dark corridor, heading straight toward Arjun's ritual site.

Behind him, the devil chased him down, his evil laughter echoing through the empty corridors.

Arjun heard the devil's laughter getting closer. He quickly moved behind a pillar and hid himself.

From behind the pillar, Arjun saw Dev's silhouette slowly appear in the darkness—and just behind him, the devil was right there, trying to grab him, wearing an evil smile.

Arjun kept repeating in his mind,"Good job, Dev… just lead that devil into the ritual circle."

Dev finally saw the ritual spot.

He decided to jump over it.

As Dev leaped forward, the devil was just inches away from grabbing him.

But before the devil could touch him—his foot stepped inside the ritual circle.

And at that exact moment…

THE TRAP set by Dev and Arjun activated.

The devil froze on the spot, completely trapped, as a barrier formed around him.

Dev bent down, panting heavily, and said,"See… you really are dumb."

Arjun slowly came out from his hiding place, one hand pressing against his wound.

Dev looked at him and said,"Bro… your trap worked."

Arjun coughed lightly and replied in a weak but determined voice,"This… is just the beginning… to end this."
