"You used it to destroy Lord Vorlag and Dragoth," Rosly said. "With that staff in your hands, and moonfire running through your veins… nothing could stand against you. You were unstoppable."
"Is the staff here?" Thornak asked.
Rosly's smile faded at once.
"That," she said quietly, "is what we must speak about next."
Lara straightened. "It's not here, is it?"
Rosly shook her head. "No. The Staff of Bravenhort has been missing for centuries... and no one has seen it since."
Thornak's brows drew together. "Taken by who?"
"Someone close to you. Someone who did not want the Moonguard to rise again."
Lara felt a cold shiver travel down her spine. "Neriah's first husband," she whispered.
Rosly nodded. "Yes. The corrupted prince. He stole it before you banished him… and he hid it somewhere no one has been able to reach, but Neriah found it's location before she died, but chose not to retrieve it."
Thornak's jaw tightened. "So how do we find it?"
