A soft, unnatural light began to appear at the doorway — pale silver, like moonlight.
Thornak rose so suddenly his chair scraped hard against the stone floor. Every head in the chamber turned toward him, startled.
The council followed his gaze — but saw nothing.
Uneasy murmurs filled the air.
"My King… what is it?" one of the generals asked, glancing toward the doorway.
Thornak didn't answer. His golden eyes were fixed on the spot where the light shimmered — where the Guardian now stood, unseen by any but him.
"Your Majesty…" Dain began, his voice low with concern.
Thornak lifted a hand, silencing him without a word — his golden eyes locked on the figure who had appeared.
"King of Beasts," the guardian said. "The Moonguard is in danger. Go to the edge of the great mountain pass. Go now."
