He shook his head. "You shouldn't be the one to lose him, Lara. Not like that."
"You are his brother, he loves you more than anything. Let me save him. We will find a way back to each other." Then she turned to Uma. "Lets go."
"Lara..." Kael started, but she cut him off.
"No," she said firmly. "Thornak is my mate. My feelings for him are never going to change. Even if I don't remember him… I will make new memories."
For a moment, Kael just looked at her then, slowly, he nodded.
Uma turned and started moving. "You mortals can be so dramatic,"she said. "Now follow me."
Lara reached for Kael's hand, pressing it between hers.
"Tell him that even if I don't remember him," she said softly, "I'll always choose him. Tell him to remind me."
Then she turned and followed Uma deeper into the tunnel.
