New York became a warzone, shockwaves and energy blasts tearing through the streets. Kara clashed with Hyperion, their heat visions colliding, painting the sky red. She landed an uppercut, sending him skyward. He countered with a heat vision sweep. "Is that all?" he sneered.
Kara's eyes burned. "Just warming up!"
Adam battled Power Princess, antimatter clashing with divine energy, tearing space. "Annihilate," Adam said, unleashing a blue wave. Her sword deflected it, space cracking. "Not enough to beat a New God," she grinned.
Hulk grabbed Nite Owl, smashing him into the ground repeatedly. "Weak! Little! Bug!" he roared, embedding him in a crater.
Wanda pulled Dr. Spectrum into a chaotic dimension, his prism energy fracturing into screaming faces. "Welcome to my domain," she said, crushing an eyeball. "Let's discuss dismantling your soul."
Tony's nano-armor fired drones, pinning Speed Demon with vibranium spikes. "Jarvis, analyze his weaknesses." A tendon injury was targeted, dropping him with a knee strike.
Luke and Blade hammered Hawkwoman, sparks flying. Moon Knight, bloodied, pinned Dr. Arcane. "The moon says your time's up."
The city trembled, concrete vaporizing, steel twisting, skies fracturing. Kara and Hyperion fought in the stratosphere, shockwaves clearing clouds. She broke his jaw with a whip kick, slamming him into the Statue of Liberty, snapping it. Hyperion, bloodied, overloaded with cosmic energy, skin cracking like magma. "You forced me," he growled.
Adam's antimatter particles cracked Power Princess's sword. She licked blood from her hand. "Can your energy slay gods?" Adam detonated nearby particles, staggering her.
Hulk pulverized Nite Owl. Wanda dismantled Dr. Spectrum's energy. Tony crippled Speed Demon. The battlefield was chaos.
High above, Hyperion, battered, broke through Kara's blockade. He froze, seeing James holding an unconscious Hawkwoman and Dr. Arcane's skull, energy calming around him. "You're here," James said, crushing the skull.
Hyperion charged, his solar flare punch city-destroying. James caught it, clouds shattering. "You know," James's gold eyes glowed, "I've killed plenty of so-called gods."
His fist ignited, piercing Hyperion's chest, pulling out a beating heart. "A created race," James said, crushing it, "can't match a true god." Hyperion collapsed.
Power Princess, bound in antimatter cuffs, knelt, armor shattered, eyes defiant. James's super vision analyzed her divine energy, a mix of Olympian and enhanced power. "Interesting system," he mused. "Worth studying."
S.H.I.E.L.D. agents secured the defeated Squad. Tony, faceplate open, stared complexly. James flew off.
At a government command center, officials watched, pale. James hovered above. "When I let you live, you live," his voice echoed in their ears. "Anger me, and no one survives."
He opened a portal to the White House, pulling the President through, choking him. "You think you can control me?" Crack. The President's neck snapped, body falling before the officials.
Silence. No one moved. James scanned them. "Pick a new President who listens. This isn't a request." He flew off, Wanda and Kara following.
Tony, aboard a Quinjet, stared at the body, then at James's departing figure. "The world's about to change."
