Chapter 53 - Chapter 51: Bio-Field Upgrade

[Ding! Host's growth points detected. Redeemable items available.]

The system's voice broke James's reverie. He rubbed the Mind Stone, its yellow light reflecting in his eyes.

"Show the list," he said.

[Mall updated. Recommended items:]

[Kryptonian Bio-Field Enhancement Module (Points): Strengthens bio-field to resist dimensional attacks. (Host can upgrade manually over time.)]

[Doomsday Cell Sample (Points): Grants Doomsday-level regeneration and evolution.]

[Anti-Monitor Armor (Points): Multiversal armor to counter supreme entities.]

James's gaze lingered on the first option—the only one he could afford. "Redeem the Kryptonian Bio-Field Module."

[Ding! Redeemed. Remaining points: 0. Fusion starting…]

Blazing energy surged within him, golden light flowing across his skin. He grunted, muscles tensing as his cells restructured. The bio-field solidified, a faint golden aura encircling him.

[Fusion complete.]

James exhaled, clenching his fist. The air vibrated, his bio-field now magnitudes stronger, sensing spatial ripples.

"Not bad," he smirked. "At least I can handle a Dimension Devourer now."

Sunlight bathed him, warm as a hot spring. He closed his eyes, sinking into it.

Time passed, the sunset gilding his chiseled features. His black shirt hugged his sculpted chest, rising with each breath.

Wanda appeared on the terrace, her red hair catching the light. She paused, watching him, a smile tugging her lips.

This man—powerful, enigmatic—gave her a safety she'd never known. He'd saved her from hell, taught her to wield her power, even understood her past.

Her heart quickened, scarlet energy flickering at her fingertips. "His eyelashes are so long…" she thought, then laughed at herself.

Her gaze lingered. Almost instinctively, she reached toward his cheek, her heartbeat loud in her ears, scarlet energy betraying her nerves.

"Want to touch? Do it openly, not while I'm asleep," James said, eyes still closed, a smirk playing on his lips.

Wanda froze, her face flushing as scarlet sparks burst. "I-I was just…" she stammered, "checking for a mosquito!"

"Oh?" James's eyes opened, golden irises glinting playfully. "Need help swatting it?"

She fumbled, trying to pull back, but James gently tugged her arm, making her stumble into his lap. "This close, you'll see better," he teased.

Wanda's breath caught, his golden eyes reflecting her flustered face. "Running already?" he chuckled. "I didn't say no touching."

Her heart skipped, scarlet energy swirling chaotically, mirroring her panic. "I didn't!" she yelped, scrambling up, fleeing red-faced.

James watched her vanish downstairs, chuckling. "Turing," he called lazily.

"Yes, sir?"

"Up the training room's difficulty," he said, smirking. "Keep her too busy to overthink."

Wanda, at the stairwell, overheard and rolled her eyes, but a smile crept in. "I'm not scared," she muttered.

James entered the basement lab, nano-sensors lighting the space, rivaling Stark Industries' best. He waved, a holographic display unfolding. The system's [Kryptonian Tech Archive] streamed like a starry river.

"Turing, set up a max-encrypted database," James said, sorting the data.

"Done, sir," Turing replied. "Tech spans energy, bioengineering, spatial physics—far beyond Earth's level."

James focused on [Bio-Field Advanced Theory]. His super brain parsed it instantly, eyes reflecting the data. "So, the bio-field isn't just a shield—it can manipulate space."

He raised his hand, the golden field forming ripples. With focus, it warped the air, creating a tiny black hole that collapsed instantly.

"Sir, that disturbance could tear matter apart!" Turing warned.

"Needs finer control," James mused, shifting to [Solar Energy Absorption Optimization]. "Simulate solar radiation adjustments."

Holograms showed his energy absorption curve and an optimized model. "Post-optimization: 300% faster energy storage, 50% higher output," Turing reported.

James nodded, entering the solar simulation chamber Tony built. Stripping his shirt, his chiseled torso gleamed under blue light. He lay inside. "Max intensity."

"Warning: untested mode," Turing cautioned.

"Do it."

The chamber blazed, mimicking solar radiation. Golden circuits spread across his skin, cells absorbing energy, vibrating, evolving.

Ten minutes later, the chamber dimmed. James sat up, golden light fading from his eyes. He clenched his fist, power surging. "Effective."

The lab door opened. Wanda peeked in. "James, I felt an energy spike—wow." Her eyes locked on his bare torso, words failing.

"Spying on training's bad manners, Miss Maximoff," James teased, slipping on a shirt.

Wanda flushed. "I-I came to say dinner's ready… I can eat alone if you're busy."

He chuckled, buttoning loosely. "Let's go. I'm starving."
