Chapter 37 - Chapter 35: I Am Superman, My Own Spokesman

Global Blitz Begins

Paris, Eiffel Tower

A tourist's backpack slipped from the observation deck, plummeting toward pedestrians. A black blur zipped by, catching it mid-air. James hovered, handing it back to the stunned tourist.

"Be careful," he smiled, rocketing skyward as phones captured the moment.

Seoul, Financial District

A runaway truck barreled toward a crosswalk, pedestrians screaming. James landed, stopping it with one hand, tires screeching. The driver gaped as James pushed the truck back.

"Check your brakes," he said, nodding to the filming crowd before vanishing.

Middle East, Terrorist Stronghold

Armed militants prepared an attack when a shadow darkened the sky. James crashed into the camp, ground cracking. Bullets bounced off him.

"Game over," he said, eyes flaring red. Heat vision swept through, detonating their arsenal. He scanned the stunned militants, then vanished.

Africa, Drought Zone

Children stared at a dry well under a scorching sun. James landed, pressing a hand to the ground. Frost breath froze the well's base, melting into clear water. Kids cheered as he smiled and flew off.

Stark Tower, One Hour Later

Tony slumped on a couch, holograms flashing global headlines:

["Superman" Saves Paris! Catches Falling Object!]

[Seoul Truck Stopped by Mysterious Hero!]

[Middle East Terror Base Destroyed by "Glowing-Eyed" Man!]

[African Village Saved! Villagers Worship "God"!]

"Holy shit…" Tony rubbed his temples. "Jarvis, how many headlines?"

"98% of global media, sir. All top 20 social media trends are him," Jarvis said. "S.H.I.E.L.D.'s called 37 times."

Tony grinned, calling James. "Done playing savior? Fury's blowing up my comms."

Wind roared through the comm. "Relax," James laughed.

Tony shook his head, watching news scroll. "You steal headlines like nobody else."

"Just warming up," James replied.

Indian Ocean, Pirate Attack

Pirates held a cargo ship's crew at gunpoint. A sonic boom shook the deck. James landed, shockwave knocking pirates back.

"Who?!" the pirate leader roared, firing.

James stood, bullets halting before him. "As you can see," he smiled, "Superman."

Pirates fired wildly, but guns melted under his heat vision. He sighed, knocking out three with precise chops.

The rest tried to flee. James stomped, shaking the ship, toppling them unconscious.

A young girl stammered, "Who… are you?"

He crouched, smiling. "Call me Superman." He soared off.

New York, High-Rise Fire

A skyscraper blazed, trapping dozens. Firetrucks couldn't reach the top. James burst through smoke, shattering a window with a push.

"Hold on," he said, bio-field wrapping a mother and child, flying them to safety. He darted back, saving everyone in ten seconds.

"Superman! Superman!" the crowd cheered, phones flashing.

He nodded and flew off.

Southeast Asia, Plague Village

A village suffered a plague, medics helpless. James landed, villagers recoiling, thinking him a deity.

"No fear," he said, scanning with his bio-field. Heat vision burned out viruses, frost breath conjured clean water.

An elder grabbed his hand. "Are you God's messenger?"

"Just a passing Superman," James smiled.

Middle East, War Zone

A refugee camp faced artillery fire. James descended, arms spread, telekinesis forming a barrier. Shells froze mid-air, exploding harmlessly.

"War's over," he said, speeding through the battlefield, dismantling tanks and disarming soldiers in minutes.

A boy ran up. "Are you a superhero?"

James ruffled his hair. "You could say that."

Stark Tower

Headlines exploded:

["Superman" Saves Thousands in One Night!]

[Middle East Ceasefire! "Black-Clad God" Appears!]

[Plague Village Cured Overnight!]

[New York Fire: All Survive!]

Tony stared at the feeds. "Jarvis, is he overdoing it?"

"Sir, Mr. Holden's now in Antarctica, repairing a research team's snowcat."

Tony: "…"

Next Morning

Social media erupted with SupermanIsReal. Streets buzzed with tales of the black-armored hero. James's global crime-fighting spree slashed crime rates overnight.

His New York appearances were a debut. Last night? Superman became a legend.
