Chapter 57 - Chapter 57 :- Warlords of the Sea

Thriller Bark, the Florian Triangle, Paradise, Grand Line

In the main hall of his creepy castle 'Gecko Moria' a Warlord who looked like a white giant with horns was sit on his chair.

He was bored.

"Kishishishi," he laughed a lazy hissing sound. "More zombies, I need more powerful zombies. Find me some strong bodies to use."

His two loyal servants, the invisible Absalom and the ghost-princess Perona were looking at the morning newspaper.

"Captain Moria, you should see this," Absalom said, pointing a finger at the front page. "The Revolutionary Army is being called a bunch of devils."

"And look at this guy, 'Umi'" Perona said, floating upside down. "He is so serious and gloomy. He is not cute at all. Horohorohoro."

Moria lazily glanced at the paper. A hero? A villain? He did not care. It was all just boring politics.

His mind was on one thing and one thing only: getting revenge on the Emperor of the Sea 'King of the beast' Kaido who had defeated him long ago and killed his entire crew.

"Is it about Kaido?" Moria asked, his voice a low grumble.

"No Captain," Absalom said.

"Then I don't care," Moria said with his waving hand. "The World Government and the Revolutionaries can play their little games. It has nothing to do with me. All I need is a strong army of the dead. Then I will crush Kaido and become the true Pirate King.....Kishishishishi"

He saw the picture of Umi and the story about Dragon but to him they were just names.

They were potential sources of strong shadows for his zombies and nothing more. The world could burn for all he cared as long as he got his revenge in the end.

Dressrosa, New World, Grand Line

In the bright sunny kingdom of Dressrosa, where living toys walked among the happy people. another Warlord was looking at the same newspaper. But he was not bored like moria.

He was fascinated.

Donquixote Doflamingo, the king of Dressrosa and a secret master of the underworld sat on his palace balcony with a wicked smile on his face.

"Fuffuffuffuffu," he laughed "Look at this everyone. Look at this beautiful lie."

His top officers the snot-nosed Trebol, the muscular Diamante, and the high-pitched Pica gathered around him.

"What do you mean Doffy?" Trebol asked, wiping his nose. "It just says this Umi fellow is a hero."

Doflamingo's smile grew wider when he heard this and this time even little scarier.

"A hero? Fuffuffu. Don't be so simple. The World Government doesn't make heroes. They make weapons." He tapped the newspaper with his finger. "This story is a masterpiece of control. They destroy Germa, take its science and blamed Dragon. Then they torture a few little kingdoms and put blame on Dragon again and then send in their own man to 'save' everyone. It is a perfect play. They have made the world hate their biggest enemy and love them at the same time."

Doflamingo understood the game because he played it himself.

He was a master of pulling strings of making people believe lies. And he saw that this move was made by someone very powerful.

"This 'Umi' is not just some random agent," Doflamingo said with his voice dropping to a whisper. "He is a monster sent by the Five Elders themselves. A new Chess piece has been placed on the board."

He felt a thrill of excitement.

The world was becoming more chaotic and more dangerous. And for a man like Doflamingo, a world in chaos was a world full of opportunities to get even more power.

"Fuffuffuffuffu! This new age is going to be so much fun!"

Amazon Lily, Calm Belt

On the beautiful island of Amazon Lily, where only strong women lived.

The Pirate Empress 'Boa Hancock' was looking at the newspaper with pure disgust.

She is the most beautiful woman in the world, and she knew it. She was used to everyone loving her.

But she hated the World Government for what they had done to her when she was a little girl and she hated almost all men in the world.

"How disgusting," she said with kicking the newspaper away. The picture of Umi lay face-down in the dirt.

Elder Nyon, the tiny old woman who used to be the empress, sighed. "Hancock, this is important news. The world is changing. A new powerful figure has appeared."

Hancock struck a pose, looking down her nose at everyone. "Nothing is more important than my beauty" she declared. "Who cares if these pathetic men fight each other? It does not matter who wins, because I will always be more beautiful than them"

She looked away, "I do not care about this 'Umi' or this 'Dragon'. They are men and therefore they are worthless."

Fish-Man Island, Deep Beneath the Sea , New world, Grand Line

In the beautiful bubble-covered kingdom of Fish-Man Island, the Warlord of sea Jinbe looked at the newspaper with a deep frown.

He sat with the other members of the Sun Pirates, his fish-man brother Aladine .

"This is not good," Jinbe said, his deep voice rumbling. "This news will make the humans on the surface world even more scared. And when they are scared, they become more cruel to those who are different like us."

He did not believe the story.

He knew of Monkey D. Dragon.

He knew the revolutionaries fought for those who were stepped on and the fish-men were stepped on more than anyone else in this world.

"I do not believe Dragon would do such things," Jinbe stated firmly. "This smells of a World Government plot. They are trying to make themselves look like the only source of justice in the world."

His friend Aladine nodded. "But the story is powerful Brother Jinbe. People will believe it. They will see the revolutionaries as evil, and the World Government as their saviors. This will make the government stronger and more arrogant."

Jinbe sighed, "That is also my fear. A stronger and more arrogant World Government is a danger to us all. They will feel they can do anything they want and no one will dare question them. We must be cautious. The tides of the world are shifting and a great storm is coming. We must be ready to protect our home."

the world's greatest swordsman sat alone in his gothic castle. Dracule Mihawk poured himself a glass of red wine.

He had a newspaper, but he had only glanced at the headline.

Politics. Revolutions. Heroes.

It was all so boring.

He was about to toss the paper into the fireplace. But then, his hawk-like eyes caught something.

He stopped. He picked the newspaper up again, but he wasn't looking at the face of the man named Umi. He was looking at what was in the man's waist.

A sword.

Mihawk's eyes, which could see the smallest details from miles away, narrowed. He leaned closer. This was no ordinary sword.

It was a blade of the highest quality. A Supreme Grade sword. One of the twelve most powerful swords in the entire world. A sword fit for a king.

"How interesting, Reidai Kitetsu(Kitestsu-0) finally appeared after so many years." Mihawk said to the empty room.

He knew the details about every 12 Supreme grade sword. He also have one of 12 supreme grade swords name "Yoru".

The boredom was gone from his face and replaced by a flicker of sharp predatory curiosity. He had thought he was the one of few who wielded such a blade in these times.

He didn't care about Umi the hero, or Umi the agent of the World Government.

But Umi the swordsman? That was a different story.

"So," Mihawk whispered a small dangerous smile touching his lips as he took a sip of his wine.

"Another one has finally appeared."

Bartholomew Kuma stood perfectly still in a cold, white, metal room. Wires and tubes were connected to his large body.

He was being changed, his mind and memories slowly being erased and turned into a living weapon for the World Government: a Pacifista PX-0.

Kuma's did not move. His eyes now blank and empty stared at the paper.

He saw the headline. He saw the picture of the hero, Umi.

And he saw the name of his old friend and his true leader being called a monster.

"Monkey D. Dragon."

The man who was one of his hope for a better world.

The Bible he always carried was clutched in his other hand.

"Dragon..."

The word was not spoken. It was a thought. A ghost of a thought in a dying mind. He understood the lie. He understood the terrible pain his friends were feeling. And he could do nothing.
