The first thing Sylene noticed was how cramped the space felt—
and strangely serene.
Cool liquid pressed against his skin as he slowly opened his eyes. He was lying inside something glass-like, submerged halfway in translucent gel that shimmered faintly under the moonlight.
Healing liquid.
He recognized it immediately.
Above him, the moon shone brilliantly through the glass ceiling of the greenhouse, silver light pouring over endless blooming roses. For several long seconds, Sylene could only stare blankly upward, unable to understand what he was seeing.
His head felt unbearably heavy.
Other than that...
He was fine.
Groggy, but alive.
What happened?
The battle...
Rosencraft...
Q99 pierced him—
And after that—Nothing.
Sylene groaned softly and tried to move, only to freeze when a strange ache pulled from his back.
It felt stiff.
Painful.
