"Calm down, Veldora."
Rin did not agree to the Storm Dragon God's request to fight.
Unlike Velzard, Rin would never let his companions take risks lightly.
Even Veldora was someone Rin took seriously.
Fortunately, the new world's specifications weren't high enough that Veldora would never return.
Rin didn't mind him making a scene.
But the problem was, making a scene wouldn't help in acquiring an Ultimate Skill.
"That world has its own rules."
Rin shook his head and sighed. "Ultimate Skills can't be taken by force. They can only be obtained by following the rules that world has set."
"Oh, that's..."
The chuunibyou dragon looked a little flustered.
He scratched his head and awkwardly sat back down.
This Veldora hadn't yet inherited the memories of Rimuru. He also wasn't the quick-witted eternal master of Japanese shogi.
Asking Veldora to clear a game by its rules was honestly asking too much of him.
"So..."
Diablo spoke. "Not only are we going to be suppressed, but we also have to follow their rules?"
"Yes."
Violet said, "While the Void God's power has expanded the number of traversal points, options, and room for maneuver..."
"We're still far from being able to act however we please."
"Then, may I ask..."
Diablo said, "How do we obtain an Ultimate Skill?"
"God-slaying."
"???"
Rimuru's head was filled with question marks. She asked in confusion, "God-slaying, like, actually killing gods?"
"Something like that, but not exactly."
Violet said, "That new world, Rin and I have named it the 'God Slayer Universe.'"
"In ancient times, a group of unimaginably powerful beings appeared on Earth."
"They had no names, no surnames, and no set forms."
"These ancient beings would occasionally threaten humans, or, on a whim, grant them blessings."
"This is where the beings known as 'Gods' originate from."
Violet introduced the essence of what gods were in that world.
At a glance, they were extremely similar to the spiritual beings of the Cardinal World, such as the original True Dragons.
"Later, humans found these great existences."
"They stood unmoved across the vast land, watching the gods summon storms, hurl lightning, and wield overwhelming power to bring disasters upon the world."
And to restrain these gods, humans devised a method: they created shackles called 'myths' to bind them.
A god that received a name and a myth would be unable to act outside of those two things.
When granting blessings to humans, or when receiving returns, they would act according to their assigned role.
That way, humans could prepare for both the threats and blessings of the gods.
This method was less a seal and more of a ritual.
It wasn't forced.
At the beginning, it might have started from sacrificing, worshiping, and believing in the gods, which gradually led them into the poison called 'myth.'
Over time, the World Will became aware of what humans were doing.
Then, deep at the root of it all, it added a whole new set of game rules, forcing all gods to obey them.
"However, not all gods were willing to be bound by myth."
If a god acted beyond their name, or the story their myth told...
If a god returned to a more primitive state, one less constrained by myth...
Then that god would be called a 'Heretic God.'
"And in that world, there is a special ritual. By slaying a Heretic God, one can plunder their authority."
"The one who slays a Heretic God will be called a God Slayer. And also... a Demon King of Earth!"
As Violet said this, everyone looked toward the blue planet before them.
"God Slayer, Demon King..."
Carrera said, clearly itching for action. "Interesting!"
There were no gods in the Cardinal Universe.
The closest thing to a god was the God Kind Rin had created.
So while there were no gods here, there were angels and devils.
If you applied the logic of the God Slayer Universe, Diablo and the other Primordial Demons, even by rank alone, wouldn't be beneath the so-called Seven Deadly Sins.
If they went over there, they'd undoubtedly be considered main god-level Heretic Gods.
"So we have to contend with those Heretic Gods for authority?"
"Fighting gods sounds like a lot of fun!"
Rimuru's earlier hesitation vanished. As long as it wasn't murder or arson, she wasn't the type to back down.
You're a Demon King? I'm a Demon King too.
Who's afraid of who?
As long as it didn't involve moral issues, Rimuru was all in for fun.
"Ahem!"
Rin gestured for everyone to quiet down, then said, "Becoming a God Slayer isn't that easy."
Just the requirement that only mortals can perform a god-slaying was enough to block Rin and the others.
Even if they gave up all their power and challenged a god in mortal form...
How confident were they that they could become one of those chosen few?
Let alone one in a million, it wasn't even one in a billion.
"What we want is only the authority of the gods, not to actually perform the feat of god-slaying."
"Just like how I gave up on forcefully stealing it," Rin said, "the world's rules gave me enough face in return."
Pandora had her ritual, and Rin had his own method.
By using Void God's rule invasion, Rin was essentially hacking into the God Slayer Universe's terminal, granting him partial administrator permissions.
And with Violet's help, Rin successfully found a loophole in the god-slaying ritual.
"Now, you have three options."
"One, you can occupy the divinity of a Heretic God, then in that world, kill other gods or God Slayers."
This method came with both pros and cons.
The upside was that the Demon Lord Seeds would inherit a Heretic God's account and could use all the powers of that god.
Even if they died, only the account would be lost, not their real body.
The downside was obvious.
They wouldn't be able to use their original power, which would greatly reduce the combat strength of Rin's subordinates.
Another issue was that they'd be standing in the Heretic Gods' camp and would become obvious targets for the God Slayers.
"The second option is to enter as 'humans.'"
Rin said, "Of course, by 'humans' I mean going in without Ultimate Skills."
In other words, to become God Slayers by slaying gods, anyone could choose this path.
