After everything was ready, Gideon and his team went to the back yard. There, a horse-drawn carriage had already been prepared by the coachman. They could see it clearly.
"Let me be the driver, Capt!" Luke offered.
"Sorry to trouble you, Luke."
Luke nodded without hesitation, even though he had never driven a horse carriage before. Luckily, the coachman explained a lot to him before they departed, especially how to speed up, turn, and stop.
It was easy enough for Luke to understand, not difficult compared to the time he had to drive an M10 Booker tank. He was sure he could handle the carriage safely and without problems.
Gideon and the others said their farewells to Viviene. Viviene smiled, waving her hand, hoping they would remain safe while in the north.
A noble banner was attached to the carriage, a majestic blue as Gideon had requested.
