Chapter-42: sweet snack to remove the shackles from Wilson lark
The carriage is narrow and it is inconvenient to move around. I have no hands free, so I just make the simplest sweet snack.
Turn out the newly bought casserole, pour the flour into it first, put it on a small red clay stove, stir-fry over low heat constantly to make it heated evenly, fry slowly until you smell a burnt aroma and the color turns into dark yellow, and a sweet aroma of food fills your nose.
Then fry for another two minutes and it's done, serve and set aside. Pour the black sesame seeds in and stir fry, roast over low heat until the grains become plump, then take them out and crush them with a rolling pin.
The tempting sesame aroma will come out all at once, filling the carriage, attracting Mary's attention. Then pour the peanuts in and fry them until the peanuts open. Then take them out and gently rub off the peanut skins.
Crush them in the same way, but not too finely. They should have a granular feel. Wait until it cools down completely, then mix the three together and evenly blend them into a perfect proportion. The simple sweet snack is then ready.
She filled two bowls, added a little sugar, poured in water and stirred it into a paste, then handed it to Mary. Mary took a sip and was stunned.
"This thing looks ordinary, how can it be so delicious? The rich aroma of sesame, the fruity aroma of peanuts, and the unique aroma of flour, mixed into an extremely tempting fragrance..."
Before she could finish her words, the curtain was pulled open, and Jerry Lark came over with a smile, "Sister, what are you eating? I want to eat too."
He was at the age of growing up, and always felt hungry and wanted to eat. Tom Lark also looked at it eagerly. The fragrance was so strong that people around him could smell it and sniffed their noses.
Wendy Lark smiled slightly, "Everyone has a share." Mary put down the bowl and followed her daughter's steps to fill three bowls with water. Wendy Lark found a bowl, filled it with rice and handed it to her father Wilson, "Dad, take it to Lord Jeff."
If you have any delicious food, give it to the officer who is guarding you. It may be a bit flattering, but there is nothing wrong with it. Wilson Lark was quite happy about it and didn't think there was anything wrong with it.
If they could establish good relations with the officers, they would suffer less. Logically speaking, fugitives can only walk and cannot take a car, but people turn a blind eye to it, so you should at least show some appreciation.
"OK." Lord Jeff was riding his horse leisurely not far from the mule cart and had already smelled the tempting fragrance. Seeing the bowl in Wilson lark's hand, he raised his eyebrows, "What is this?"
Wilson Lark introduced enthusiastically, "The Sweet snack made by my daughter are very convenient to drink after just adding some water, and can be stored for a long time. If you like salty taste, add some salt, if you like sweet taste, add some sugar. If you don't like strong taste, it will taste good without adding salt."
Lord Jeff smelled the aroma of food and was eager to try it. He happily dismounted and jumped directly onto the carriage next to him. He made a bowl of sweet water. He liked sweet taste, so he put some brown sugar in it, and the aroma immediately filled the air.
He took a sip and his brows relaxed. It was thick, hot, smooth and creamy, with an excellent taste. I have to say that the little girl's craftsmanship is amazing. A black head poked his head in.
"You're eating alone again. What's that good thing? It looks ordinary, but it smells delicious. Let me have a taste." Lord Jeff blocked his restless hand with his hand and drank a big sip impatiently.
Deputy Captain Luke couldn't help but get anxious, "Don't eat it all, leave some for me." The two of them were fighting for the bowl, and Deputy Captain Luke finally snatched it from his friend.
There was only one mouthful left, and he didn't care about anything else and drank it all in one gulp. He had just tasted it and it was gone, and he was scratching his head, "This cooking skill is really amazing, why didn't you give me more?"
Just one bite isn't enough to fill the gaps between his teeth! Lord Jeff rolled his eyes and said it was good enough to have something to eat. Deputy Captain Luke rolled his eyes. He loved to eat. Life was all about eating and drinking.
"Brother Jeff, ask her to fry more for us. It's convenient and delicious, unlike dry food which is hard and gives me a stomachache." Lord Jeff had an idea and thought it was a good one. He went straight to Wendy Lark, who hesitated for a moment and said,
"Sure, but I need a big pot and an assistant. I don't have the strength in my arms and legs, and this delicacy needs to be stir-fried all the time. I'm sure I can't stand it for a long time." Mr. Jeff looked at her deeply, and felt that she was up to something.
"I'll call someone for you." Wendy Lark pointed at Wilson Lark, who was standing aside with a smile,
"Let my father help me. I am a young girl and I will get married in the future. I need to avoid suspicion. Oh, by the way, his wrist is injured like this, so I need to give him some time to recuperate." The corner of Jeff's mouth twitched.
Avoid suspicion? She dared to throw stones at people and make Old Madam Lark faint. People who ignored etiquette actually had to avoid suspicion. What kind of joke is this? He couldn't help but suspect that the snacks were actually the result of her careful planning.
