Chapter 1 - Chapter One: Welcome to the Survival Game

[Welcome all Blue Planet players!

This is the Survival Level-Up Game: Conquer, Ruler of Worlds!]

Min Suqian only came to her senses after feeling water drip onto her face.

Groggy and cold, she stirred, wiping at the relentless droplets as her eyes fluttered open. She was lying on a flimsy-looking raft in the middle of nowhere.

Her eyes widened.

She was godsmacked.

Had she drunk too much with her managers and coworkers again? Was she still drunk?!

She could hear the waves, feel the spray, see the vast ocean stretching endlessly around her—and smell the salt-soaked air. Plus, she was absolutely drenched in the rain.

"What the hell is going on? Is this an attempt on my life?" she muttered, scanning her foggy memory for anyone she might've offended. The number kind of varied… depending on who you asked.

"Where the hell am I?"

[Welcome, Player Min Suqian, to the Survival Game: Conquer, Ruler of Worlds.]

[There are 146 worlds in this galaxy and 6 abandoned refuge planets, all with completely different environments and atmospheres. All Blue Planet players will be divided randomly into these six territories. One among you will receive a Ruler Token, granting sole control over your planet's development. The others will receive a Refugee or Citizen token.]

"…Huh?"

[Each player will be able to unlock professions of their choosing, gain skill sets, and earn kill points. Each planet is populated with dungeons, natural disasters, and world war events where invading players may attack. Your job is to defend your planet.]

[For every hostile kill—whether dungeon creature, beast, or invader—loot will drop: including blueprints, skins, food materials, and currencies like gold, silver, and copper coins. The environment the Ruler receives, and their starting conditions, are determined by luck.]

[refugee token received.]

Min Suqian sat up fully now—drenched, cold, and furious.

Her face had been pressed to splintered wood, and her legs dangled off the side of a lopsided raft that stank of mold and dead fish. She gagged at the smell and blinked into the downpour.

Lightning cracked overhead, illuminating a storm-tossed ocean. No land. No birds. Just endless water.

Her soaked shirt clung to her like seaweed. Something sticky ran down her cheek. Blood?

Her head throbbed.

She checked her limbs: scraped knee, bruised elbow, nothing broken. Her right ankle was swelling, but she could still move.

She was alone.

"…What kind of planet was I sent to?" she muttered, hugging herself tightly against the cold.

[Welcome, Player Min Suqian.]

[Current Status: Player has awakened on Abandoned World 0774-A.

This world is classified as a hostile water planet.]

"That doesn't sound promising…"

"Are there any inhabitants, refugees, residents… even land?" she asked aloud, hoping the system would answer. Her thoughts drifted to her siblings back home. What happened to them? Were they here too?

[Natives: Mermaids, fishfolk, sea beasts.]

[Refugees: Unknown (humans, aliens, and other species).]

[Civilized Inhabitants: None confirmed.]

[Planet has no current surface land as it is a complete water planet. Confirmation and more information requires claiming of the Ruler Token.]

"Wait I -" she was cut off.

[Good luck, player! Thrive, level up, and survive!]

"Tsk. What a busty module," she mumbled, standing up with a wince.

Looking around the busted raft, she spotted a fishing box and reached for it.

[Please name your planet and choose a location to begin your reign.]

[Reminder: Rulers cannot be recognized by the world's native people until the worlds territory reaches Level 10 or the Ruler reaches Level 5 and unlocks both a main profession and a sub-class.]

Holy crap!

What does she name her planet? Hell if she knew!

Since this is a water planet and she wants to protect the residence of her world as well as refugees, who come.

Let's name this planet Sanctuary of Watering Springs.

[Planet name is to long please shorten or pick a different name]

"Geez, tough crowd. OK how about sanctuary Springs? Or is that still too long?" she mumbled typing in the name.

[Planet name is now Sanctuary Springs on interstellar map of near by worlds Territories.]

[The currently you the now ruler has entered the safe period along with the your territory you have 6 days to build your up and level up you and your territory safely]

Great she thought that It's Cheap module would have her pick a even shorter name.

[The ruler has received a starter pack]

Ooh she got a free pack!

[would you like to open the starter pack?]

[Yes]

Of course she wouldn't skip out on free things hopeful it something useful and free.

[You have obtained one set of simple yellow grade deep water scavenging diving gear, 1 set of yellow grade deepwater suit {thermal protection from ocean freezing temperatures 30 mins use cool off time 1hr} x2 breathing slugs {only can use 2 in every 3 hrs} 1 fillet knife{Great for fish deboning!}.]

[All items have been dropped in storage slot]

Heck yeah!

[Level up soon. Begin building your establishment.]

A list of blueprints and designs loaded up. Her mini-map highlighted her location and nearby territories:

• Mermaid Reef

• Shellfish Ridge

• Fishman Coral Trove

Each came with pros and cons.

The Mermaid Reef was listed as "highly active," but warned that mermaids were hostile to outsiders. The system noted that mermaids were often enslaved for their scales, and their tails were sold for high-priced meat.

"Eww, that's gross—and wrong on so many levels."

Min Suqian felt sick just imagining it.

Poor little mermaids.

She'd always believed in them, even back on Blue Planet, when most people compared them to aliens or fantasy creatures. But now she knew they were real.

And as a Ruler?

She'd protect them.

She promised herself she'd make all intelligent life on her planet feel welcome—safe.

Shellfish Ridge had 4 storms every day and large crab, shrimp, and clams live in the area and often destroy boats and rafts shelters. Though they are high in meat and resources from environment resources.

Ehh uh nope. Why would she choose that one even though she does love sea food and pearls. But not for her life.

And the Fishman coral trove wasn't so bad either and it wasn't too far from the mermaid reef. Hmm. Lets for get it for now until she can get material she needed.

Scrolling through dozens of prefab blueprints, she couldn't find a single one that matched her vision.

"Can I customize my own blueprint ideas?" she asked, frustrated.

[Yes. Player may describe designs. Game module will generate options based on feasibility.

Reminder: Player must collect materials. Game module will not magically provide them.]

"Hm. Figured as much," she muttered, typing her expectations into the suggestion bar.

She wanted a hybrid city: part underwater, part sky-based—floating sanctuaries and submerged glass domes. Unique, inviting, powerful.

Six concept designs popped up.

Two of them especially caught her attention. They were Living Cities—giant sentient sea creatures that could host entire populations on their backs, with mobile ecosystems and built-in defenses.

But when she asked how to obtain one, the answer made her jaw drop.

[To acquire a Living City:

Option 1 – Trick a baby Living City creature to follow you willingly.

Option 2 – Steal a fertilized egg from a Living City's birthing ground.]

"…The module's trying to kill me," she muttered.

"Can't I buy one without risking my life?"

[No. However, Ruler may collect loot, level up, and trade with traveling locals. Or Player can open module and can trade with other blue planet players through thread post portal though it requires you to pay 15 silver to create a profile for private deals and messages.

Recommend: building a temporary Skybubble Shelters that can be replaced after build a proper shelter.]

[First: defend against approaching hostile fish swarm.]

[x8 Hostile detected approaching]

"…Huh? Right now?!" Min suqian almost fell of the raft in shock.

Dammit she was still slightly tipsy from last night drinking endeavor and she was drenched in the middle of a water planet with fish that eat people.

sign

Min Suqian quickly flipped on the High Beam Storm Light.

Her mini-map lit up—red dots began filling the surrounding sea.

She looked up. Her blood ran cold.

Fins.

Massive, jagged fins cut through the water, slicing the waves. They were heading straight for her pathetic excuse of a raft.

"Oh, shit…"

Rain blurred her vision as she scrambled for a weapon. No guns. No swords.

She grabbed the two harpoon spears.

No launchers—just the spears themselves.

Thinking it over for a while she put away one of the Haroon and pulled out her new fillet knife. Mhmm they felt nice to hold. She held them tight in each hand like double daggers, crouching low.

She'd have to fight.

There was no backup. No time.

And if she went into that water?

She'd freeze.

Drown.

Die.

"Not today…" she muttered, breath fogging as she braced herself.
