The two migrant workers walked cheerfully toward the shop, while Chad followed behind alone.
At that moment, an explosion suddenly erupted behind him.
"So scary."
"What happened? A gas explosion?" Both of them were startled.
Even Chad turned his head. Though he saw only a blur, he knew something was there.
The blond-haired man asked, "Chad, are you okay? It just exploded-call the police!"
The blurred shadow shifted slightly. The next instant, the ground between the three of them erupted. Chad managed to dodge, but his two friends were sent sprawling.
Chad realized quickly that the invisible thing was targeting him specifically, and he ran.
The blond man shouted, "Chad, don't leave! Where are you going alone?"
Though Chad still didn't understand what it was, he figured that if he lured the creature into an empty place, no one else would be hurt. A wide open field lay ahead, so he ran straight for it.

On the playground, a group of students played soccer.
"Run!" one of the boys shouted. But the next moment, the ball struck him in the face, knocking him down with a bloody nose.
"Kurosaki, what's with you today?"
"Either spacing out, kicking wrong, messing up every time."
"You still want to practice like this?"
But Yuzu felt uneasy. Tugging her cap lower, she muttered, "Sorry... I want to head back for today."
Her classmates were surprised when she really started to leave. "Hey, Kurosaki... don't just walk off!"
Yuzu ignored them. She'd been distracted ever since earlier, unable to focus on the game. It was better to return home and clear her head.
Just then, she saw Chad rushing toward the field. "What are you doing here?"
He recognized her too. "Ichigo's sister..." he thought.
Before he could say more, the Hollow's attack arrived.
Nearby, Yuzu's classmates debated among themselves-
"What now?"
"Forget her, don't bother."
"She always does her own thing anyway."
"If we went after her now, she'd get mad."
One of them nodded at the field. "I'll just check quickly."
"What? Then I'll come too."
"Sigh... don't leave me behind."
They had barely begun to follow when a thunderous crash echoed nearby, shaking the ground. "What was that?" one of them yelled as gravel scattered across the field.
At the same time, Chad rolled clear of an attack just in time.
Yuzu's eyes widened as she saw what he faced. "That... that's a Hollow! Yuta-san told me about them before."
he stared hard at the monstrous figure. Hollow? Yuta? Even if he barely understood it, the name alone confirmed-it was a Hollow.
But Chad still saw only a vague outline. He muttered, frustrated, "Damn it... if only I could see more clearly."
Yuzu called out quickly, "Uncle, I'll tell you its moves! Left side-no, right side... it's in front now, move!"
(T/n: damn... he an unc..)
With her guidance, Chad was able to retaliate against the Hollow's strikes with precision. But his strength wasn't enough; the Hollow overwhelmed him. A single blow sent him crashing down, blood on his face.
"Uncle, are you okay?" Yuzu rushed to his side, seeing his head bleeding heavily.
Her classmates finally caught up, staring nervously.
"Kuro... Kurosaki?"
"Who's this man? Why's he covered in blood?"
"Are you two fighting him?"
"Did you win?"
"Idiot!" Yuzu snapped. "Don't come any closer! Run!"
"What's with your attitude?" one said defensively.
"We're worried about you-"
"Why are you always like this?"
They had no idea that a Hollow loomed directly behind them, smiling cruelly as its gaping maw opened toward them.
Horror filled Yuzu's eyes, but her body moved instinctively to shield the four of them.

Flat on the ground, Chad felt time slow down. Memories resurfaced-of long ago, returning home beaten from a fight. He recalled his grandfather's words:
"Chad... did you fight again?"
"So what if you win? What do you gain from hurting others?"
"You're strong, tall, perfect. Born with gifts others can only dream of."
"You could bully anyone-you'd win easily. But, Chad, I want you to keep a kind heart."
"Why do you think your fists are so big, your body so strong?"
"This is what you must discover."
"Grandpa..." Chad whispered in memory. "I get it now."
"My hands aren't meant to hurt others. My strength exists to protect them." (T/n: he is indeed a chad.)
"Please... just give me power."
Spiritual pressure surged through his body. His right arm transformed, armored in black steel-like plating glowing faintly with Reiryoku. With one strike, he destroyed the Hollow.
And for the first time, he clearly saw it as it vanished.

Back at Karakura High School, glass shards scattered across the floor.
An upperclassman, Chizuru, muttered while cleaning, "This is such a pain. If I'm going to get punished for this, I wouldn't have come to help."
She adjusted her half-framed glasses. Her short red hair brushed her cheeks as she grumbled further.
Arisawa Tatsuki, sweeping nearby, said, "The judo team swore they didn't break these windows."
"What? You actually asked them?" Chizuru raised a brow. "Don't tell me you like those sweaty guys."
Tatsuki glared at her immediately, forehead pressing against hers. The air between them turned tense as both refused to back down.
