Rukia Kuchiki could still smell Yuta's lingering scent on the quilt, and her face flushed red. "What are you doing, Rangiku?"
Matsumoto Rangiku lay openly, unashamed and unclothed before her. "When are you going to be with Yuta?"
Rukia turned her head away quickly, her ears burning hot. "Wh-who even likes him?"
Rangiku smiled knowingly. "Don't lie to yourself. When will you help me share the burden? Yuta isn't like any other man… I can't keep up with him alone. You'll have to work hard and win him over too."
Rukia pulled the quilt over her head, muffling her voice. "I'll… I'll try my best." Her embarrassment kept her hidden beneath the covers.

"Phew… I've been to this world before, back when I was wearing a mask. Still boring," Yami muttered as he stepped through the Garganta.
"The reishi is so thin it's hard to breathe," the massive Arrancar added with annoyance, gagging slightly at the atmosphere.
Ulquiorra glanced at him with disinterest. "Stop complaining. I said I could do it alone, but you insisted on coming, Yami."
"Alright, alright, I get it. My bad," Yami replied with a curl of his lips.
Not far away, humans gathered at the park after the impact of the Garganta opening left a massive crater in the ground.
"What happened here?" one whispered.
"Was that a meteorite?"
"Should we check it out?" another asked nervously.
The group edged closer, curiosity overcoming caution.
Yami spotted them and sneered. "What are you looking at? Keep staring and I'll drain every last one of you right here." He opened his mouth wide and inhaled deeply. The mortals collapsed as their souls were ripped free and swallowed into him. Yami released a disappointed grunt after gulping them down. "Tastes terrible."
Ulquiorra didn't turn his head. "Of course. Human souls here are thin and flavorless."
"They shouldn't have stared at me then."
"They couldn't see you in the first place."
"Yeah, I know." Yami clenched his fist with irritation. "So how much are we doing this time? How big's the kill count?"
"One," Ulquiorra answered flatly. "No more than that."
"Just one?" Yami asked with a scowl. "Out of all these people?"
"It doesn't matter," Ulquiorra said. "Only one here is worth attention. The rest are useless."
At that moment, one of the humans forced herself to her feet. Tatsuki Arisawa staggered to stand, her eyes locked on the two figures with holes in their chests. She had felt different ever since her encounter with Yuta; her spiritual power had awakened enough to see spirits the way Ichigo Kurosaki did. But against these two, her body froze. The spiritual pressure pressing down on her was suffocating. She felt her consciousness slipping away as Yami loomed in front of her.
"If you survived my suction, then you must have some spiritual power," Yami said with a grin, showing his teeth. "Ulquiorra, is this the one?"
"Look closely, idiot," Ulquiorra said from where he stood, his hands still inside his pockets. "Her soul is already fracturing. She's useless."
"Then it was just luck she survived?" Yami muttered with disappointment. He raised his foot to stomp down on her body. But before the strike could connect, his foot met resistance that felt like stone.
The air quaked as a huge figure appeared between them. Chad Sado stood tall, brown curls falling over his forehead, his right arm encased in the black-and-red armor of Brazo Derecha de Gigante. His school blazer and trousers strained against his frame as he braced against Yami's kick. Beside him, Orihime Inoue stepped forward in her school uniform, her long orange hair swaying as she spread her arms to shield Tatsuki with determination in her eyes.
"Who are you supposed to be?" Yami asked with amusement.
Sado's face remained grim. The impact alone was enough to make his armored arm shudder in place. He knew the strength behind that casual strike was beyond anything he had endured before. His body had always felt like steel under blows, but against this opponent, it already felt as fragile as paper.
"Inoue," Sado said quietly, his voice steady despite the pressure. "Take Tatsuki and leave with her now."
Orihime hesitated, her voice trembling. "Don't push yourself too much, Chad…"
Yami gestured toward him mockingly. "Ulquiorra, this one? Our target?"
"No," Ulquiorra said calmly without moving his hands from his pockets. "Use your eyes. He's trash as well."
Yami smirked. "If that's the case, I'll crush him where he stands."
Sado pulled his right arm back, channeling everything into it before throwing a punch forward. The energy surged outward with force great enough to tear apart part of the forest behind Yami. For a moment, Orihime's eyes widened with hope. But the next scene froze the air in her lungs.
Yami caught him effortlessly and lifted him into the air with one arm. His massive hand squeezed down onto Chad's armored right arm until blood sprayed out. Flesh tore and the limb broke under the pressure, severed in an instant. Sado cried out as he fell heavily to the ground, his right arm gone.
Orihime screamed his name and rushed forward, dropping Tatsuki to the grass before sprinting to his side. Yami looked down at her approach with a grin stretching across his face and asked coldly, "Ulquiorra, what about this woman… is she trash too?"
