The sage power of the Dragon Ground Cave was the strongest among the Three Great Mountains—something even the toads of Mount Myoboku admitted. Precisely because that sage power was so overwhelming, even if someone managed to find the cave, none returned alive.
To date, only three had survived: Orochimaru, Kabuto, and Sasuke. Of those, Kabuto didn't truly count as a wielder of that power. Only Sasuke did. If he were to join the Land of Gods and receive guidance from Kaede, he would become a terrifying force.
A man bearing both the Kaleidoscope Copy Wheel Eye and Sage Mode of the Dragon Ground Cave.
Of course, Sasuke couldn't do it yet for another reason: the Kaleidoscope Copy Wheel Eye was harming his body.
It was like a hero whose skills cost HP—use them too much, and you kill yourself.
What Kaede wanted was for Sasuke to join the Land of Gods willingly—and to undo the knot in his heart. He had another goal as well: Itachi. He wanted both brothers to escape their former fate…
And attain the most perfect form of the Eternal Kaleidoscope.
If he wished to achieve that, he couldn't rush. He had to watch the weave of each person's destiny and, at the crucial instant, apply outside force so the two could step off the path laid out for them.
Before that, though, Haku's words about the "curse of the bloodline limit" kept tugging at him.
The third bloodline limit was Wood Release. After the First Hokage, Hashirama, passed, it had all but vanished. Because Wood Release was so powerful, Danzo dreamed of obtaining it through Hashirama's cells.
Orochimaru once sought immortality by studying those cells. That alone showed how terrifying Wood Release truly was.
Another bloodline limit hadn't yet appeared in this timeframe: the Pure Eye. Kaede had very little data on it. In the system's notes it was still marked "unknown," a mystery.
The fifth bloodline limit was the Wedge, belonging to the Otsutsuki. It was also the reason Kaguya could be revived.
She had died—yet could return. That was the work of the Wedge.
It was said the Sage of Six Paths had once bestowed the Samsara Eye upon Nagato through a Wedge—a mark of being chosen. Jiraiya had said as much. But now, that didn't seem to be the full truth.
Then there was Madara: through Hashirama's cells, he formed a certain link with the Sage of Six Paths, and his Eternal Kaleidoscope evolved into the Samsara Eye.
At this point in time, the Otsutsuki were still a riddle. Few knew much—beyond scattered tales about Kaguya.
The sixth bloodline limit was the White Eye. It was said the White Eye could evolve into the Samsara Eye as well—and that its power, fully realized, was tremendous.
Beyond these six terrifying bloodline limits, each nation possessed unknown lineages of its own—like Haku's.
In the original course of events, Haku would have died taking a fatal blow for Zabuza. He wasn't as strong then as he was now, and his heart had been as pure as his name.
But this Haku was no longer the Haku in Kaede's memory. Because the clan had been led away by Kaede—freed from the old script—every bloodline clan intertwined with them was shifting in small and large ways.
Haku was one of those changes—an uncertain variable that even Kaede could not predict.
No one knew what Haku had gone through.
And no one knew why he died before Neji—nor why he spoke of a curse.
