Chapter 123 - Chapter 123: Escape Like a Stray Dog!

"Wah!"

Before Isshiki Ōtsutsuki could say a word, he spat out a mouthful of blood.

Although he had seemingly avoided a fatal blow earlier, the immense pressure from the collapsing space had already shattered and ruptured his internal organs.

At this point, he was nothing more than a flickering candle in the wind, completely stripped of the qualifications to continue fighting Kaede.

Kaede raised an eyebrow in disdain. "Looks like there's no need to keep fighting."

Against him at full power, Isshiki was nothing but a complete waste.

Especially with his newly awakened Rinnegan technique—Mirror Space—it was the ultimate bug.

Even though it consumed a lot of chakra, he had the God Tree supplying him, so the cost was nothing.

"So, it's time to end you."

As Kaede's voice fell, one of the Truth-Seeking Orbs behind him shot toward Isshiki at incredible speed.

"How can I… lose to a lower life form like you?!"

Faced with Kaede's contempt, Isshiki let out an enraged roar. His already extreme chakra levels began to rise once again.

"I will never fall here!"

A dazzling white light enveloped Isshiki's body, and before the Truth-Seeking Orb could even touch him, it was sent flying by that radiant force.

"You still have a trump card?"

Kaede narrowed his eyes, the Truth-Seeking Orbs floating behind him as his pupils locked on.

Memories of the original plot flashed through his mind, and he quickly understood what Isshiki was doing.

Kaede smirked. "So you've been forced to reincarnate into that trash body?"

"In that case, your lifespan will only be three days."

By now, Isshiki had fully completed his reincarnation.

All of his injuries were instantly healed, and his state was even stronger than before as his internal power doubled.

He glared coldly at Kaede. "Forcing me to use this pathetic body for reincarnation—you've done well, lower life form!"

Kaede sneered. "And? Do you really think that in this form you can beat me?"

Isshiki smirked. "You're strong, but my current power is beyond your imagination! I have five days left—enough to take you as my next vessel!"

In a flash, his figure vanished from sight, so fast that even Kaede's Rinnegan couldn't track him.

Appearing right beside Kaede, Isshiki extended his hand, revealing a Kāma mark in his palm.

"You're mine!"

But before he could revel in his arrogance—

Crack!

The Kaede before him shattered like glass.

"What?!" Isshiki's eyes widened in disbelief.

He was certain that was Kaede's real body just now, so what was this?!

The next second, Kaede appeared in the distance, looking at him coldly.

"In this space, I am invincible."

"To hit my real body, you'd have to destroy this entire space. Unfortunately, you don't have that power."

"Damn it!" Isshiki clenched his teeth.

"I can't win here… not against this guy."

With a hateful glare at Kaede, he spat, "This isn't over between us!"

Then, without regard for the cost, even sacrificing what little life force he had left, he opened a space-time portal that instantly swallowed him.

"Heh… running away already?" Kaede shook his head.

"Then run like the stray dog you are."

With that, he stepped out of the Mirror Space.

Outside, the sensory ninja from the Raikage's group had already arrived.

First, they saw a strange, horned man appear out of nowhere, then vanish just as quickly—followed by Kaede's sudden arrival, his indifferent gaze sweeping over them.

Ōnoki and the others were stunned.

That powerful figure, whose presence rivaled Kaede's, was running away like a stray dog?!

Did this mean Kaede had won again?

Kaede didn't bother with them.

Sensing Isshiki's position, he disappeared instantly, beginning a cat-and-mouse chase across space.

The different dimensions kept changing.

In the Heavy Water Space, Isshiki barely emerged before Kaede was already on him.

Truth-Seeking Orbs transformed into black rods, raining down like a storm of feathers.

In this space, all ninjutsu was nullified—only senjutsu could function.

Isshiki barely had time to catch his breath before the black rods filled his vision, making his very soul tremble.

If struck by senjutsu, his body would never recover.

Ignoring his injuries and dwindling lifespan, Isshiki kept tearing open space to escape, worsening his condition with each jump.

Another rift opened, and he staggered inside, continuing his desperate flight.

He was like a stray dog… and Kaede, the relentless hunter.

Just moments ago, Isshiki had been thinking of capturing Kaede as his vessel.

Now, in an instant, their roles had reversed.

Kaede folded his arms, eyes full of disdain.

Did Isshiki really think tearing through space would let him escape?

Too laughable.

Kaede wanted to see the look on Isshiki's face when he realized he couldn't escape him no matter how far he fled.

He was certain it would be priceless.

Without stopping, Kaede followed him again.

The next space—Blazing Fire Space.

As soon as he entered, Isshiki coughed blood. The flames of the dimension instantly consumed his robes, leaving him looking utterly disheveled.

He rested briefly, thinking Kaede hadn't caught up, and breathed a small sigh of relief.

But as he tried to use the space to recover before moving on—

The entire space began to tremble.

In a blink, Kaede appeared like a phantom.

The flames surged toward him… only to vanish instantly, unable to get close.

"You… what—?"

Isshiki was shocked once again.

This space was so far removed from the main dimension that even he struggled to open it—yet Kaede had followed him in.

Was he really unafraid of being consumed by these spaces?

"I like that surprised look on your face," Kaede said with a faint smile. "But I wonder… how many more times can you keep running?"
