Chapter 33: Encirclement and Killing of Uchiha Akira
Deep within the Root base in Konoha. Inside the dark, damp room, the light illuminated Danzō Shimura's gloomy face.
"Uchiha Akira…" Danzō muttered the name, a chilling killing intent flickering in his single eye. The latest intelligence reported that Uchiha Akira had successfully been promoted to Guard Team Captain. He had been promoted to Jōnin 2 weeks ago, and now he was a Captain. Moreover, he had received the full support of the Hawk Faction!
"That damnable Uchiha brat, he can't be allowed to live any longer. He must be eradicated as soon as possible to prevent future troubles!" Danzō slammed his hand on the table, his killing intent undisguised. If Uchiha Akira were allowed to fully mature and then gain control of the Uchiha Clan, it would pose a huge threat to Konoha and to his Root!
"Give the order!" Danzō growled into the shadows. "Mobilize the 'Crow,' 'Weasel,' and 'Snake' elite squads, a total of 9 Jōnin!"
From the shadows, a figure appeared silently and knelt on one knee.
"Target: Uchiha Akira! This operation, no matter the cost, you must kill him! Also, bring his Sharingan back to me!"
"Yes!" The dark figure accepted the order and silently merged back into the darkness.
9 Jōnin, among them were top experts skilled in assassination, tracking, and combined attacks. 3 of the squad leaders were elite Jōnin. Such a lineup would be enough to contend with even a Kage-level expert! He refused to believe that a mere Uchiha Akira could escape such an inescapable net!
