Chapter 142 - Robbers

Chapter 142: Robbers

Qin Xuan summoned his flying sword, jumped onto it, then extended his right hand. "Come up."

"Where are we going?" Bibi Dong's beautiful eyes blinked slightly, her lips curled into a faint smile. This time, she didn't hesitate, naturally taking his hand and stepping onto the sword. She then wrapped her arms tightly around his waist, as if wanting to melt into him.

"Let's go back to the Elder Palace first," he said, feeling the softness behind him. "Tomorrow morning, I'll accompany you to the Supreme Pontiff Palace. Aren't you planning to train in the Slaughter City? You should at least say hello to my 'good elder brother.' Don't worry, with me here, he won't dare to do anything to you again."

As he spoke, he felt Bibi Dong's delicate body stiffen abruptly, only to relax a moment later. "Mm," she acknowledged softly, holding him even tighter.

They arrived at the Elder Palace within moments. Qin Xuan didn't land immediately. Instead, he released her, turned to face her, and said seriously, "There's one more thing I need to remind you."

"Tell me," she said, her eyes gentle.

"I know you're eager to become strong quickly. But if you encounter a Divinity in the Slaughter City who calls herself Rakshasa and she approaches you, absolutely do not agree."

"A Divinity?" she asked, startled. "Like the Angel God?"

"Why?"

"Because she makes people ugly," Qin Xuan said, giving a reason that was true in spirit, if not in literal detail. "I don't want to see you end up as an ugly monster."

After leaving Spirit City, Yu Xiaogang didn't dare to stop for a moment. He was impatient to refine the Immortal Herb. It had been nearly twenty years since his Martial Soul awakened, and he had gone from a prodigy to a waste reviled by everyone. He desperately wanted to prove himself; for this, he had even given up his beloved Bibi Dong. But it would all be worth it.

After a night of continuous travel, he arrived at a vast, lush forest far from the city. "It seems that scoundrel Qin Xuan didn't follow," he muttered, preparing to find a secluded place to consume the herb.

Just then, two tall figures, one in black and one in white, leaped out and blocked his path.

"Stop!"

"This mountain is mine!"

"This tree is mine!"

"If you want to pass!"

"Leave your toll!"

"If you so much as utter half a word!"

"Grandpa will kill you and won't bury you!"

The two held steel knives, masked, brandishing their broadswords with astonishing skill. They were Mo Ya and Bai Feng, ordered by Qin Xuan to rob him.

Seeing that they used broadswords and not Martial Souls, Yu Xiaogang grew bold. "How dare you rob me? Do you know who I am?"

"Who cares who you are?" Mo Ya rested his broadsword on his shoulder. "This grandpa only cares about robbery. If you know what's good for you, hand over everything valuable."

"Presumptuous!" Yu Xiaogang roared. "Come out, Luo San Pao!"

With a sound like flatulence, a yellowish-brown, fat creature that was neither pig nor dog appeared before him. At this moment, Yu Xiaogang had already dismissed them as ordinary bandits. He was a level 29 Spirit Grandmaster; what could two mere bandits do?

Seeing his Martial Soul, Mo Ya bent over, clutching his stomach, laughing heartily. "Hahaha, Bai Feng... What kind of Martial Soul is this? A pig?"

"Who knows? I think it looks more like a dog," Bai Feng's mouth twitched violently, struggling to hold back his own laughter.

"Bastards..." Yu Xiaogang roared. "Farting like thunder, tearing the heavens and earth, Luo San—"

Before he could shout the word "Pao," Mo Ya and Bai Feng vanished. The next thing he knew, two gleaming broadswords were pressed against his throat. A single tremble from him caused the blades to cut his skin. He didn't dare to move.

"What did you just say?" Mo Ya's lazy tone sent shivers down his spine.

"Why are you still being polite with him?" Bai Feng said impatiently. "Just kill him and take his valuables. This kid is a Spirit Master; he might even have a spirit tool."

Hearing this, Yu Xiaogang immediately became anxious. "You can't kill me! I am a disciple of the Upper Three Clans! If you kill me, my clan will not let you go!" He couldn't die yet, not before he had trampled all those who had once looked down on him under his foot.
