At night, darkness fell over the desert. The temperature dropped sharply, and dangerous creatures—poisonous snakes, cheetahs, and other feral beasts—began their nocturnal hunts.
The people of the oasis retreated into their tents and wooden huts, lighting bonfires at their doorsteps. They tossed pungent herbs into the flames, their acrid smoke warding off wild beasts lurking in the shadows.
Uchiha Hikaru quietly cast a genjutsu over the sleeping forms of the two children, Taiyo and his sister, ensuring they drifted into a peaceful slumber.
He gently tucked a scroll into taiyo arms. It contained detailed instructions on chakra refinement, clearly marked with a warning: do not begin chakra training until a year has passed.
This year would allow Taiyo body to fully metabolize and purge the residual dragon vein chakra, which, if left unchecked, might still affect his neural pathways—possibly warping his emotions or even driving him mad.
Then, Hikaru departed—taking Uchiha Saya with him.
He constantly scanned the environment, sensing the flow of chakra in the surroundings, moving steadily toward the densest source of dragon vein chakra.
Eventually, they reached a concealed underground cavern.
Without hesitation, Hikaru activated his Sharingan. Saya followed suit, her own Sharingan awakening in tandem.
In the next moment, the entire cave lit up with a brilliant violet hue—dragon vein chakra swirling visibly in the air.
Saya raised her hands, trying to grasp the chakra as it danced before her.
"What a beautiful color…" she whispered.
Then, something extraordinary happened. The chakra began to gather around Saya, forming a soft, glowing violet coat that clung to her body.
She felt warmth surge through her limbs—gentle, invigorating. Her body shimmered with luminous energy as she skipped over to Hikaru, twirled once, and gave him her first genuine, carefree smile.
"Master Hikaru, look~" she said joyfully, spinning again like a child delighted by new clothes.
Hikaru studied her closely, then frowned in thought.
The dragon vein chakra was naturally compatible with the Uchiha clan's ocular power… but Saya's case was different.
Could it be that she wasn't just compatible with dragon vein chakra?
Was she born with an innate affinity for it—something even stronger?
A natural dragon vein sage?
A bold hypothesis formed in his mind.
Grabbing her hand, he nodded. "Let's go deeper."
Saya glanced down at their linked hands. A flicker of emotion passed across her face.
Without a word, she activated her Mangekyō Sharingan and placed her unique technique—Eight Thousand Spears—on Hikaru, instantly transferring chakra into his body.
The same violet glow surged around Hikaru, wrapping him in light.
He glanced into Saya's eyes, recognizing the pupil pattern. A soft smile formed on his lips as he gently ruffled her hair.
"So thoughtful. Thank you."
Saya shook her head and clung to his arm.
"You're welcome, Master Hikaru~" she said sweetly. "Saya belongs to Master Hikaru. Everything Saya does is for you~"
Her words made Hikaru's heart ache.
Originally, he had only intended to copy her Mangekyō technique and leave her behind. After all, she was part of this timeline—he doubted he could bring her back with him.
But now… after seeing her devotion...
Leaving her would only deepen the loneliness she already carried.
He clenched her hand tighter.
Screw it. I've already thrown this timeline off course—what's one more change?
With that, he led Saya deeper into the cave.
After nearly an hour of navigating winding tunnels, they reached a massive underground lake, several dozen meters wide. The lake glowed faintly—the water was entirely made of dragon vein chakra.
They approached the edge, and Hikaru reached out, carefully sensing the substance.
There was no doubt.
This wasn't water—it was pure, condensed liquid chakra.
Saya mimicked his motion, dipping her fingers into the glowing surface. Her body immediately responded—every cell seemed to sing with joy. Her cheeks flushed, and she shivered slightly, visibly suppressing a reaction.
Before Hikaru could decide whether to let Saya or Sword absorb it, or if he should absorb it himself, he heard a soft sound beside him.
"Nnh~"
His head snapped around. Saya's thin, malnourished body was visibly transforming—healing rapidly, growing stronger and fuller as vitality surged through her.
At the same time, Sword manifested beside Hikaru in her human form, stepping lightly into the glowing lake.
She closed her eyes in contentment, her expression calm and serene.
"Master, won't you join me?" she said, her voice dreamy. "The chakra here is so rich and warm~"
But Saya's reaction was far less serene.
She glared at Sword with unexpected hostility.
"No! Master Hikaru is going to absorb it too. You... you get out!"
A crimson Susanoo arm erupted beside her and slammed toward Sword.
"Stop!" Hikaru barked. "Sword is mine—my weapon. Don't attack her. Calm down."
Saya blinked, snapped out of her chakra-fueled jealousy. The Susanoo arm faded.
Her cheeks burned, whether from embarrassment or lingering chakra stimulation, she didn't know.
"I'm sorry, Sister Sword…" she muttered.
Sword smirked mischievously at Saya's blushing face and slightly ill-fitting clothes.
"Saaaya~ how old are you, again?"
"I… I don't remember…" she said quietly.
Before she could say more, she was yanked into the lake. Hikaru was pulled along right after her.
Then Hikaru understood why Saya had made that soft moan earlier.
The dragon vein chakra wasn't just energy—it was overwhelming stimulation, pure warmth and joy soaking into every pore of the body.
He had suffered when absorbing it the first time. But now, with Saya's Eight Thousand Spears enhancing him, it felt incredible.
Every fiber of his being opened wide, greedily drawing in chakra.
But even as their bodies drank in power, the chakra began influencing their minds.
Seeing this, Sword stepped in immediately.
"Master, Saya—focus on absorbing! Don't let it distract you~"
With her guidance, the three of them synchronized their efforts and began absorbing the chakra more efficiently.
Time passed—how much, none of them could say. But eventually, the lake was drained. Every drop of chakra had been absorbed.
Saya collapsed, her body overwhelmed by the sheer volume of power she'd taken in.
Hikaru, meanwhile, used the moment of clarity—and Sword's help—to carefully copy the unique Mangekyō Sharingan ability from Saya:
