Xavier's POV
"What do you say Xavier? Can I come with you? Please, don't say no!" Joyce begged again and I was about to tell her it wasn't going to be possible when someone walked in right in our midst.
"It is a pity he would have to say no." The voice said and I turned to look at the figure that had arrived unannounced.
It was her. The one person I had been expecting.
"Zara?" I called her name surprised to see her join us without anyone of us noticing early enough. When did she get here?
"He can't go with you because I'm the one going with him instead." Zara said to Joyce while staring at her with her dark, cold gaze.
"What are you even saying? What the heck is she talking about? Who the hell are you to tell me what Xavier can or can't do?!" Joyce asked, looking from me to Zara.
"What is she talking about Xavier? Why is she the one going with you to this event and not me?" She asked, glaring at the lady who had come to stand beside me.
