Xavier, the current Alpha of Blood Creek Pack, was six years old when this attack took place. He lost his family and close friends along with his best friend, Daphne, who he thinks died in the attack.

 

What happened when he goes back for revenge and finds out that Daphne is still very much alive? Also, she happens to be his mate and he just killed her adoptive father.

We were at the dining table now because Zara agreed to eat with me. 


She sat on the chair opposite mine and while the maids served us dinner, I could not wait to hear her say what she had on her mind.


I noticed that she waited till the maids were done before talking. And all the while during the silence, I couldn't get my eyes off her.


"I'll go to the event with you only on one condition." Zara's voice broke through my thoughts when she spoke.


I was curious as to what her condition could be and I urged her to tell me what she wanted from me before granting my wish.


Staring deeply into my eyes, she took a deep breath before talking.


"Xavier, you know just how much I don't care about your pack's politics or anything that has to do with showing my face where I don't wanna be." She continued, her gaze not leaving mine.
