Xavier, the current Alpha of Blood Creek Pack, was six years old when this attack took place. He lost his family and close friends along with his best friend, Daphne, who he thinks died in the attack.

 

What happened when he goes back for revenge and finds out that Daphne is still very much alive? Also, she happens to be his mate and he just killed her adoptive father.

"We are close to the border now." I heard the familiar voice of one of my men that moment. 


My attention was drawn away from the weakened Zara who I carried princess style in my arms to the path that led us out of the midst of the thick bushes ahead.


I heaved a sigh of relief that moment because I wanted to get her to a place that's somewhere safe and protected as soon as I could.


The moonlight had already hung itself in a conspicuous manner towards the sky the moment I and my men got close to the pack's border.


Zara was wrapped in the most protective manner in my arms and I couldn't have been more lucky to have found her the time that I had.


Only the goddess knows what else would have happened to her had we not found her early enough. Afterall, she was alone, helpless and vulnerable to every whims and caprices of whatever danger was lurking outside the pack.
