Whoosh!
Trees swayed from side to side, the wind bending thoughts and dreams along the landscape.
Whispers gripping the ears of a certain person as he whistles. Dragging a bucket with a mop in it, he tucked in his unsettling long cap to the side.
Foot steps ran up to him, making him stop.
"Hey!" The voice called out.
The blonde haired man stopped, his posture relaxed but bent. His left eyes blind and his right looking at the boy standing in front of him.
"Mornin' chump. Ya late." He said to the boy in a strong Texas accent, able to fool a Severn year old he was a cow boy.
The boy breathing heavily calmed himself from his running, his afro hair swaying with wind, the blazer of his school uniform turning grey, a stark contrast to his trousers that we're velvet.
"Late? You old man, you got me into a nightmare!" He pointed at the man aggressively.
"Don't do that again!" He warned.
The man smiled, his hands pointing down at the boy's chest. "I'll admit, it was too much, but it was a must."
"A must?" Asking with an eyebrow raised.
"Yes. McDuncan Residence, Limbo terms with one's life despite it's dreams and nightmares. You name it."
"Yeah whatever. I helped you with your errands, so don't bother me..."
"Ayo," he ignored the boy named Ayo's request, "You may not remember, but you're familiar with it."
He raised his finger, "A case. You know that term?" He asks.
"No." Ayo shut down quickly.
"Good, it'll be enlightening to our audience." The man pointed at the sky.
"What....?" Ayo looks up to see a red sky, "this guy's crazy."
"Cases are spiritual sickness that takes a hold on people who are disconnected from their reality. From that explanation you may be thinking that it means that depressed people may be the only one to get infected." The Janitor explained.
"..." Ayo tilted his head curiously.
"That itself is tells us that even the slightest slip of one's reality may result to one getting infected."
"So... Like self derealization?" Ayo questions.
"Yes, but it doesn't tie to one sense of metal issue." The Janitor explained.
"Very refreshing." Ayo said sarcastically.
The Janitor smirked, "Make sure to keep your heads up. You may encounter another person who'd need your help."
"My help..?x" he wondered as he looked down at his palms, looking up to see the Janitor disappear from his spot.
The school grounds had a strong wind blowing, playing with Ayo's fabrics and hair aggressively.
Ayo shields his eyes, gritting his teeth. The wind stopped as he looked up to see a young girl in a private school uniform of sailor blue jacket and white underneath. Her hair braided at her side.
"Ayo! Mom said should follow you on my way home, I was hoping you yourself was done with classes!" She said loudly, her voice screeching Ayo's ears.
"Could you like... Keep your voice down?"
"No!"
"But you--"
"I said... NO!"
She screamed at him and turned aways with her cheeks puffed. Ayo rolled his eyes placing his hands in his pockets following her.
***
"Mom said she won't be coming today, so I'm planning to watch TV till dawn."
"But don't you got school tomorrow or something?" Ayo asked with his eyes disinterested.
"Doesn't matter, I'll meet up."
"Meetup how?"
"As in get up early!" She said in her usual loud tone.
"You're weird as always." Ayo said walking faster down the sidewalk.
"Weird? I call it different."
"Different doesn't always mean good."
"Good doesn't always seem normal."
"What?"
"Rubber duck!"
The heck is wrong with this girl? There she goes again with those stupid words when she have nothing smart to say.
"Can I ask you something?" Ayo shifted the conversation.
"Go ahead." His sister ran up to his side with her chest puffed.
"How was i yesterday?"
"Unusual."
"Unusual how?"
"Unusual like staring at your room wall while muttering some ignorant words like 'White's not black', I'm telling you, you had me quaking in my boots yesterday." Jenna rambled on.
"But that wasn't me..." Ayo muttered to himself in a whisper.
"What's that?" She asked with sharp eyes.
"Nothing."
"Hmph, anyways, I met this girl called ' DarkSho'."
"DarkSho?"
Ayo and Jenna stopped before the zebra line, everybody else made out of clay, the red sky turning purple, but disturbingly still vivid even in night, but to the two, it was just a normal cycle of the day.
"Yeah, 'DarkSho'."
"Sounds like a weird discord account name."
"More like an edgy anime fan name he'll put as his account name."
"Same thing."
"Same thing" they repeated in unison.
The traffic light beeped green, the siblings walked down the line. "She asked me about my brother."
"Huh? Me?"
"Shocking, right? But again, you're one of the top in your year."
"So she's in my school?"
"Yep!"
Ayo groans gripping his face in annoyance, "I'm so fucking tired!" He dragged his breath
"Language Ayo, you can't curse or I'll tell mom!" She said as she wiggled her finger from side to side.
"Ah, fine. What does she want anyways!"
"I don't know, but she gave me her phone number." Jenna reached inside her jacket bringing out a paper.
Ayo took it off her hands as she handed it before him, "Her number...?"
"I know that's the first time you got a girl's number~" she teased.
"Screw off!" Ayo brushed her off.
Just as Ayo stepped at the crib at the other side of the road, a loud crash destroyed the road in front of him, a large crater formed from the impact.
"What the hell!!" Jenna shouted, holding her cheeks. Ayo stared with large eyes bulging from his socket. "The heck...?"
"You human mortals, bow before me!" A voice rang from within the settling dust as people turned around to look at the chaos.
A tall, girl, clad with extreme detailed Victorian style dress of white and pink shade, her lashes longer than usual, an umbrella resting at her shoulder.
"Mortals...?" Ayo muttered with complete confusion on his face.
"I am Themitha Bethany Shmurda the third." She declared.
