DECKARD'S POV
"Vampires." Deckard mused, his tone flat.
Tristan nodded, as if goading a child to understand something particular tricky.
"That explains the dead body devoid of blood, the stellar murder work and the two holes on dead guy's neck."
Deckard remained skeptical. "But for a vampire to have killed the victim," He gave Tristan a pointed look, "they would have to exist first. As far as I know, Vampires are myth."
"In some other world, werewolves are considered myth as well. But here we are, thriving like the tenacious wolves we host." Tristan cocked his head, studying him. "You're smart enough to know this. What's up with you? I dare say you're nearly distracted today."
Deckard preferred not to reply on that regard. Nothing ever evaded Tristan's watchful eye.
Now, about the whole vampire theory…
"What else did you observe about the body?" He directed the question at Damon, the qualified doctor among them.
