Uroboros and Taotie, however, act willfully, look down on humans, and run rampant without restraint, so they are naturally condemned as evil beasts.
Taotie is gluttonous, spending every day either sleeping or eating.
It would be one thing if she ate wild fruits and beasts, but whenever the mood strikes her, she feasts on fruits, vegetables, and grains grown by humans, on livestock raised by humans, and even on humans themselves.
Thus, Taotie became the enemy of all humankind.
