Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 – The Celebration

The church hall was transformed, alive with light and laughter. Twinkling fairy lights draped the windows, casting a soft glow over tables laden with homemade dishes, bright flowers, and colorful decorations. The air buzzed with anticipation and warmth—a stark contrast to the heavy silence of their first meeting.

Naomi moved through the crowd with an easy smile, the weight she once carried now noticeably lighter. She caught Grace's eye across the room, and their smiles met like a secret handshake—full of shared battles and quiet victories.

Isabel twirled on the makeshift dance floor, the cautious walls she'd built over years falling away in bursts of laughter and music. Her usual guardedness gave way to a freedom she hadn't known in a long time.

Ruth watched from a corner, the peace glowing in her eyes as she listened to the joyful chatter around her. The grief was still there, a soft ache beneath the surface, but it no longer defined her.

Miriam raised her glass, her voice steady and full of pride. "To each of you—fearfully and wonderfully made, beautifully imperfect, and deeply loved. May you carry this truth with you always."

Glasses clinked. Voices rose in heartfelt chorus. In that moment, they were no longer prisoners of their doubts or shadows of their pasts. They were sisters, warriors, and living proof of grace and resilience.
