"Sensei! What do we do!? Do we attack!?" "We gotta do something!"
Aizawa turned back for a moment to glare with disapproval at the students who got into their combat stances.
"No, these are real, dangerous villains. You children stay back. They will not hesitate to kill you."
My classmates were taken aback by that, except for Toga who hardened her eyes and glanced over to me. I glanced back to her before pulling out two knives from the Bag of Holding and discreetly passing them to her with a nod. Everyone would need everything they could get their hands on.
I stepped forward with my Bikaku reared back, in position to crush anyone in reach.
"With all due respect Sensei. That's a load of bullshit and you know it. You can't protect an entire class against a horde of villains. Not to mention... my information gathering ability is telling me you'll need all of the help you can get."
He looked at me with a stern glare.
"You all are children. This is not your fight to handle."
I glared back harder.
"Choosing suicide sensei? Didn't think you were the type. Give permission to fight back when needed, because trust me, it will be needed-"
We wasted too much time. Fog swirled beneath our feet and I gritted my teeth, my mind ran fast like a machine. My tail coiled around my leg like a spring ready to leap out at a moments notice before I stopped to think.
What should I do?
I need to cull their numbers, I could try culling the Nomu, they are the biggest outliers here. I cannot rush towards Kurogiri or Shigaraki without getting one tapped by THE Nomu.
I needed to do something. That was certain.
Thing is, Kurogiri would be teleporting me to somewhere full of villains in all likeliness. So why should I leap out and draw attention to myself?
So I-
Let the mist take over me.
A brief feeling of weightlessness took over me before I was taken to a different location. My surroundings were different. I was standing on solid ground. My brain went into emergency mode and only took in only the most important facts.
Dirt ground, ruined buildings around, ceiling visible. I was in the Landslide Zone. And I was not the only one here as far as I could see.
Villains, 6 of them in my line of sight. Routes of escape were slim, I was in some sort of ruins with dirt covering building and rubbles blocking off paths of escape, probably the landslide area.
"Hehehe, bad day for you kid!" "Let's kill him!" "Just because you are student doesn't mean you won't get hurt!"
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
They seemed to be in no hurry. I could deduce their quirks with a quick look. Arms made of hair, shark teeth wielding a crowbar, blade elbows and knees, fire hands, an unknown, shark hybrid.
Come to think of it, ever since I came here, I have never fought at full potential. I never attacked with the full intent to main someone, it felt a bit shackling. I am not used to pulling punches.
Now I don't have to. These were killers, and while they did not know, I was also a killer. If they were to spill my blood, I'd have no reservations about spilling theirs.
Whatever happens now? It's on them.
The Bikaku rose up, and candy syrup dripped from my arm.
"Time to die- AAAAGHGHHH!!!!"
The man with blade elbows stepped forward, but I rushed forward first, my legs bent before ticking off the ground, charging towards the villains, the Bikaku moved towards him like a whip as thick as a grown mans waist and slammed into the side of his body, his arm deformed and his elbow blade shattered, and so did most of his skeleton I surmised, he got launched away like a pop fly.
"Agh what is this!?" "So sticky!"
My left hand reached out, a steam of liquid streamed out from my palm like a fountain, candy so sticky that it disrupted their movements showered them while my Bikaku went to work.
Crash! Bam!
Boom!
My Bikaku moved left and right, mowing down villain and villain with simple movements, as I brought it up and slammed it down on the particularly durable shark mutant, the fire hands guy threw out a fireball that I had to quickly adjust my Bikaku to block. And despite how tough my tail was, fire still fucking hurt.
'Syrup Skewer!'
Perhaps feeling marginally angrier than normal, I formed some candy into the shape of a spear and launched it towards the villain.
"GAAAAH!! FUCK! MY LEG!"
It ripped through the knee, pinning him to the ground before I slammed my Bikaku on his back, knocking him out, and maybe out of this mortal plane even.
"Wait for your turns will you...!"
I ducked under the shark man's fist and formed a candy blade before using it to stab his foot into the ground, and then I drew my kagune back, coiled it like a spring and made it launch forward, piercing the mans stomach and throwing him several dozens of meters back.
"Shit."
Burns hurt, a lot, the Kagune was not exactly lacking in pain receptors, unfortunately-
-BOOOOMMM!!!
"Ruaaarrrghgghhhhh!!!!"
A spiked fist smashed down on where I was just moments before, I jumped away just in time to see the overly muscular nomu with spikes all over its body glaring at me with animalistic bloodlust and madness, I could see nothing else beyond those eyes.
Crash!
I jumped back again as it struck again, how the hell am I supposed to stop something with spikes all over its body and clearly some strength enhancing quirk!? If I slapped it with Bikaku, I'd be the one getting hurt most likely, not it.
Then an idea came to my mind. This thing was clearly not thinking ahead very much which I could use to my advantage.
"You want a piece of me? Come get it."
Planting my feet in the ground I stood my ground as it charged at me, and once it opened its large mouth to roar and swing at me, I jumped, close to his face itself had no spikes, making it easier to approach. But more importantly...
"Gagh!?"
I shoved my hand into it's mouth, it tried to bite down, but that's to the viscous candy covering my arm, it failed to chew through, with one mental command I pushed forward and send candy gushing down it's throat, as thick and dense as I could make it before pushing myself off using spider legs formed from candy.
"gfahf"
The creature clawed at its throat in vain, it's lungs and throat were clogged with candy the consistency of cement. Even a Nomu cannot breathe through that. I turned away from it and walked away when it shortly collapsed, a body that big with that much exertion probably needed to breathe a lot.
Now then. What to do? What to do? Do I go help others? What do I do? Do I hunt the wild Nomu's? But that would take so much time. And I cannot guarantee Eraser head will be able to hold out in this timeline.
I should have some faith in my fellow students, everyone I actually cared about, I considered smart enough to handle a low end Nomu.
What I should do is to go after the head.
I stepped up to the edge of the landslide area and by narrowing my eyes I managed to catch a glimpse of where Shigaraki was, if he was dead, the Nomu would stop moving, the real reason I was worried for people's lives was because of that fucking creature. Or at least if I manage to take out Kurogiri life would be much easier.
But I would need Super Jump to reach there. Do I swap out Bikaku or Candy Manipulation? Wait, I should have more choices now.
Feat Achieved! Defeat a group of Nameless Villains
+1x Silver Ability Gacha Ticket
Feat Achieved! Defeat the low rank Spiked Nomu
1x Silver Ability Gacha Ticket
Right, two silver abilities, maybe they'll give me something actually usable here. But first that Silver Trait Mineta gave me that I have yet to use.
Come on, heart of cards, RNGesus, Lady Luck, give me something!
Rolling Silver Trait Gacha...!
A common trait!
[Free Flier]
Common Trait
You are a master of flight, flying is as natural to you as walking or breathing, as long as you are capable of flight that is. Flight using abilities costs less energy.
I can work with that.
Silver Ability, give me.
Rolling Silver Ability Gacha...!
An Uncommon Ability!
[Minor Healing Light]
Uncommon Ability
Allows you to bathe a target in healing light, restoring a portion of their health and vigour. Effect scales with your power level. Stronger targets need more energy to heal.
Isn't that just a replica of Cure...? But with a light aesthetic? What am I supposed to do with that?
Urgh, whatever, hopefully the next roll is better.
Come, give me a showstopper that can help me take down, something like fireball. Or fire breath. Or a gun. Yeah, a gun would be really useful right now.
Rolling Silver Ability Gacha...!
An Common Ability!
[Tinker - Augments(I)]
Common Ability
Allows you to design, modify and build technology and technological constructs related to Augments and Implants. At such a low level, you can only do augmentations such as replacement limbs, metal bone plating, camera eyes, and functional metal teeth. You are also skilled at performing surgeries to install said augments.
Curse you, I curse you RNGesus, you took my trust and spat on it. You cur!
Whatever, it's on me to do the rest now. At least Free Flier was useful. I felt my new instincts thanks to it and how it applied to Candy Paramecia. Candy syrup bubbled up before expanding to a large pair of wings on my back, feeling as natural as a new set of limbs. I instinctively knew the exact size they needed to be and how much force I'd have to apply with them to keep myself flying.
Woosh!
I took to the skies. With a single flap of my wings I was off the ground and sailing through the winds, despite the new environment I felt as if I belonged here. The energy cost that usually came with Candy Paramecia felt negligible when it came to maintaining these wings
With a quick adjustment of my course, and creating some transparent candy goggles over my eyes to prevent my vision from being hindered, I aimed towards Shigaraki and flapped my wings to launch myself downwards.
I could see it, Aizawa being held down by the Nomu and Shigaraki leering at him, but my descent was not exactly unnoticed as the fog man's eyes widened upon seeing me. Tch, unlike Shigaraki he had situational awareness.
"Shigaraki!"
Space distorted, but unlike anyone else, I was able to sense the warping of space in my path, and I responded by quickly changing my course so that the portal failed to capture me, but it also thwarted my attempt to dive bomb Shigaraki.
I landed on the ground with a flip, my tail poised next to me and my wings over me. Shigaraki tilted his head at me and scratched his neck.
"A flier? That's annoying. The papers didn't say anything about this. It's so annoying."
No need for dialogue, I pounced forward, candy swirled in my left hand into a spear and my Bikaku sprung forward like a spring with a spear tip, at the same time I threw the candy spear with the consistency of iron forward.
But then-
"Whoa! That was close! Eraser Head, do you train your students to be murderers or something?"
Fast!
Shigaraki dodged, no, he completely sidestepped both attacks almost faster than I could catch with my eyes. It was me who had to dodge by tilting my back as he swiped his hand towards my head. Just barely dodging his swipe I called on my Candy and made several spears of hard candy erupt out of the side of my towards Shigaraki who stepped back to avoid them rather casually.
He tsked and cracked his neck while I thought about my options. Candy was not a fast ability, Bikaku was fast but it needed winding up. Fuck, I really did not have many attack options among my abilities. So I'd need to outmaneuver him.
"Oi, Eraser Head, are you going to keep laying there? I'm going to kill your student you know?"
"Grkk!"
Aizawa could only let out a groan of pain as the musclebound beast pinned him down. I grit my teeth and faced Shigaraki. The air grew tense like a steel cable at max tension.
This did not seem like it was going to be easy.
A/N: Fighting Hakari is not a good idea, Candy Paramecia is very deadly if you get just a little creative. And although Hakari is strong, even he cannot handle a group so easily, the world of quirks tend to create annoying encounters like that. And RNGesus really spat in his face this time, so many rolls and nothing really good for combat. I do have an idea for Healing Light though.
To some, you may think Shigaraki was made competent here by the curse, to that I'd like to remind people he blitzed Deku and Tsuyu in the blink of an eye from 10 meters away so fast he looked like he teleported, and he also overpowered Aizawa in physical combat directly. Shigaraki is a monster that most people overlook because he acts like a manchild.
