Liam's pov
The pack house was tense that day. There was a sense of unease hanging in the air, a murmur among the wolves that something wasn't right. I could feel it in my bones. The rogue wolves were getting bolder, moving closer to our territory with every passing day. Word had spread quickly through the pack,Paul had received reports of rogue movements in the area. But something about the way he'd reacted didn't sit well with me. He'd gathered a group for a patrol, but when he assigned the roles, I wasn't included.
I couldn't help but frown at that. Since when did I, a trusted ally of the pack, become the one excluded from such critical operations? Paul had always been careful with his decisions, but this felt like a deliberate move.
